Khartoum, May 17 (SUNA) - The Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Badr-Eddin Mahmoud has led the Sudan delegation participating in the 41st Annual Meeting of the Jeddah -based Islamic Development Bank group, being held in Jakarta, the Republic of Indonesia during 17-19 of the current month of May. The minister, in his capacity as a member of the Board of the Governors, is to participate in the meeting of the Board of the Governors, which is due to be held on Tuesday evening. The 41st annual meeting discusses the Bank Group's performance of the previous year in accordance of the annual report. The meeting is to also review the annual performance of the Islamic Corporation for Private Sector Financing (one of the Bank Subsidiary Institution) and the performance of the Bank Group's Islamic solidarity Fund. The meeting will also review a periodical report on the bank's strategy for the next ten years The minister is to review, on the sidelines of the meeting with the President of the Bank Group Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Ali, the projects which the bank financed in Sudan and the proposals of lending programs for the coming period. The Finance Minister will also meet his Indonesian counterpart to discuss activation of bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to boost them further as well as stimulation of trade exchange between the two countries in the fields of horticultural and animal production besides opening of new markets for Sudanese products in Indonesia. Mahmoud will also meet, on the sidelines of the meeting, with the finance ministers participating the meetings, in addition to the directors of funding organizations members of the bank group. Sudan delegation is to participate in seminars and forums that are to be organized in coincidence with the meetings.
