Sudanese parties agree to unconditional dialogue in Addis: Menkerios

The U.N Secretary-General's Special Envoy for Sudan and South Sudan, Haile Menkerios, announced agreement of all Sudanese parties to conduct a dialogue without preconditions in Addis Ababa. In a press statement after his meeting with Sudan’s presidential assistant, Ibrahim Ghandour on Tuesday, Menkerios said that they came as representatives of the head of the African Union High-Level Implementation Panel (AUHIP) Thabo Mbeki to consult with Sudan’s Government and the political parties to see how AUHIP can push forward the process of the national dialogue He explained that he met with all the political parties to conduct free dialogue in Addis Ababa, stressing the approval of all parties to hold the dialogue without preconditions "We will raise our report to Mbeki and then decide how and when the dialogue to be held” Menkerios
