Opposition: National congress uses state’s resources to win elections

    Khartoum-Representatives of political parties have accused the ruling national congress of utilizing the state’s funding in its fovor in the coming election, warning against repetition of the scenarios of 2010 elections which they described as rigging. They have called for reconsidering the equal participation in of the national elections commission and adopting the national identity number as a voting document.

    Representatives of a number of the political parties, which ally with the National Congress, made a discussion sitting organized by the parliament on the amendment of the elections law on Monday.

    Chairman of the Free Lions party Mabrook Salim has urged for reconsidering the formulation of the election commission and warned against the rigging of the elections.

    On his part, representative of the Free Will Party Mohamed Abdullah has said that the men failed to manage the Sudanese state, calling for giving women 70% of the elections quota.

    In the same context, the representative of the Justice Party Abas Idris has said that the national dialogue will come out with results, saying what wrong if the parliament waited the results of the dialogue before approving the amendments of the elections law.

    The deputy chairman of the National Congress Ibrahim Ghandour has considered making any amendment on the elections law as availing the opportunity for the emerging forces. He said his party will be influence by the amendments in the elections laws, saying we will support them if they were the desire of the political parties. He has strongly denied utilization of the state’s fund.
