Khartoum, Feb. 9 (SUNA)- Assistant of the President of the Republic, Engineer Ibrahim Mahmoud Hamid, has asserted Sudan keenness to strengthen its cooperation with the Arab Union for Investment and Estate Development for realizing the common interests between Sudan and the Arab countries in the real estate domain. This came when he received Thursday at the Republican Palace the union's chairman, Ahmed Ali Suwaiden, in presence of the Secretary General of the National Housing and Rehabilitation Fund, Dr. Ghulam-Eddin Osman Al=-Amin. The meeting has discussed means of reactivating the union's activities in Sudan. In a press statement, Suwaiden said that the meeting has reviewed issues of finding an appropriate headquarters of the Arab Union for Investment and Estate Development and the arrangements for organizing the Arab Estate Conference in Khartoum in the coming period with participation of local and international estate institutions.
He referred to the agreement reached between the union and the National Housing and Rehabilitation Fund for establishment of a mechanism that will discuss ways of providing secure housing for the citizens and the expatriates. MO
