Sudan Ambassador to Switzerland Meets Chairman of Kenton Council in Geneva Khartoum, Jan. 25 (SUNA)- Sudan Ambassador to Switzerland, Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail, Tuesday met with the Chairman of Kenton Council in Geneva in the context of his greeting and courtesy visits to Swiss authorities and the UN and international organizations in Geneva. Dr. Ismail has appreciated firmness of the bilateral relations between Sudan and Switzerland and called for reactivating them at all domains. He referred to a coming visit to the Foreign Minister, Prof. Ghandour, to Switzerland in the current year. He also pointed to the lifting of the American sanctions on Sudan, indicating that the sanction's lifting will contribute to increasing the volume of trade exchange between the two countries. Dr. Ismail has invited the chairman of the council to participate in a celebration marking the 50th anniversary for establishment of the cultural relations between Sudan and Switzerland, which were focused in the cooperation in the field of antiquities' research. The Chairman of Kenton Council has appreciated Dr. Ismail's visit, stressing that the lifting of the economic sanctions will contribute to boosting the economic relations between Sudan and Switzerland.
Dr. Ismail has directed the Protocol Director to convey invitation to all the concerned circles in Geneva to attend the embassy's festival on establishment of the cultural relations between Sudan and Switzerland. MO
