I never had the opportunity or the honor of meeting the First Vice-President Mohammed Hamdan Daglo Himeidti in my life. Moreover I have the least concern about Sudan current scrambled and jumbled politics or political affairs and contests. As a matter of fact I kept aloof from writing political articles to “Sudan Vision newspaper” and some international media establishments for years. I, nevertheless, sustained my sturdy interest of studying the characters and personalities of our politicians in accordance with their campaigns, contemplations, brain waves in proportion to and in line with their authentic and irrefutable achievements. Following this trend of assessments I have been increasingly attracted by the campaigns, speeches and achievements of the First Vice-President Himeidti. I have also been greatly impressed with the fact that notwithstanding his being continuously harassed or attacked by means of numerous accusations, condemnations, denunciations and criticisms, he stood tall and totally unpretentious or disturbed by such severe, despicable and intense confrontations.
I am personally inclined to believe that those negative disdains are fallacious and merely opposing political acts and aggressions caused by other politicians who transmit divergent thoughts and deviating goals, ideologies and philosophies. They of course have the absolute and unrestricted rights to think and act according to their own ethics, principles and beliefs, but should be fair in judging other competitors in the democratic political arena. Despite the imprecise and vague accusations to the First Vice-President Himeidti about non-Sudanese citizenship or his lack of proper education and a rainbow of other allegations, one has the right to question his attackers about in which way were those deficiencies that they mentioned about him were or still are harmful to the welfare of our nation؟ It might also be worthwhile to compare his achievements with those of the Sudanese citizenship’s holders or many highly educated members of the senior government officials.
I have personally noticed that although His Excellency is powerful enough to deal with many pessimistic and cynical accusations and revolting statements directed to him by others, he has always remained wise, calm, humble, loath and reluctant in many occasions to respond to such irresponsible proclamations. Moreover and as an aficionada of His Excellency and his accomplishments, I would appreciate it if he could confer on focuses that shed more lights on his current enormous assistances to the Sudanese people ubiquitously and to other nations as well. Those are facts that all Sudanese people and members of the International Community would love to know about to wipe out and expunge many question marks that perturb and agitate their brains. Dealing with this issue effectively would undoubtedly close the door in front of those bogus accusations and spurious channels of news, information or even hearsays.
Many of those who are going to give me the pleasure of reading this article may in one way or another have different views that I would unquestionably appreciate, honor and respect. However, some of them might change their visions and their premature assumptions if and when His Excellency decides to establish an active humanitarian non-governmental organization (NGO) that congregates the current ad hoc, sprinkled and scattered provisions into a well–recognized indigenous and international structure. Such an essential benevolent umbrella would represent the apt organizational setup that draws the internal and international recognition to his NGO’s magnitude of relief, buttresses and other ongoing provisions and assistances. On the other hand, if he decides to go deeper into politics by forming and establishing a political party, both Sudanese people and the International Community would then recognize the sizable membership of his party and realize the colossal numeral of his supporters and followers.
Fortunately His Excellency is now well known in the Arab and African world. To add to that status and gain the highest recognition of the American European and Asian nations the door is wide open for him to enter through the humanitarian field that they all have high regards for and ready to cherish, acknowledge, appreciate and support. It is quite simple to gain the recognition, backing up sponsoring and collaboration of the International Community through the humanitarian concerns. This includes a well-established department that campaigns and advocates for, formulating and implementing sound guidelines and programs that promote important issues of eradication of poverty, women empowerment, youth sponsorship, vulnerable communities’ safety, protection and welfare, preventing woman and child abuses etc.
I would however place another suggestion that calls for setting a unique office under the umbrella of this humanitarian structure for propping up international relations and effective ties with the International Community. It would also be very useful if more focuses are drawn to the improvements of the media and information channels that show the very important roles that His Excellency and his establishment are playing towards the development of our country. More and more favorable news should be extensively transmitted to the Sudanese people and the International Community about the remarkable security and humanitarian provisions that this huge establishment is currently rendering in Sudan.
