Khartoum, 5 Oct. (SUNA)- The Assistant of the President of the Republic, Ibrahim Mahmoud has rejected allegations of use of chemical weapons in Darfur region of western Sudan
He told a press conference organized by the Higher Coordination Committee of the National Dialogue that "this was an unfounded fabrication" that seeks to mar Sudan current national project, the National Dialogue.
Mahmoud has rejected attempt to use the health and life of people in political ends and purposes
He said whoever wish to work politics then they have to go to the Sudanese people, stressing that the National dialogue process has closed the door before any attempt to reach power through the use of force.
The Assistant pointed out to the role of amnesty international and its enmity against the Sudan, which he said had once issued a statement commending the sabotage of the rebel movement against the town of Al Fashir at one time.
He said the same fabrications of chemical weapons were used in the past to target the Al Shifa pharmaceutical plant and the same allegations were used in Iraq where there were no chemical weapons. The Assistant braved the amnesty international to reveal the names of the victims it claimed were receiving medical treatment against impact of chemical weapons.
He said fabricated pictures of persons emanating from West Africa and from South Sudan were used to mislead the audience. ma/ma
