National dialogue…or the vivid search for an avenue of escape by Adaroub sedna onour

Instead of positively responding to the continuously mounting pressure on his regime by the international community to change course, Sudan’s cornered dictator, gen. omer beshir, initiated a self-made monologue which he gave the name of (the leap؟), which primary aim is to help him snap out of all the atrocities committed by his regime throughout the past 27-years of his absolute rule over war-torn, instable and internationally isolated regime. All the efforts he exerted to induce attendance from outside his splintered national Islamic front party to participate in the ill-prepared congregation hit the rock. Many observers reckon the unpopular imitative to be a parallel to the African union –brokered ROAD- MAP ,and a test balloon to assess the possibility of dropping the accusations brought against the general and a bunch of other top-ranking officials of the regime by the ICC ,for mass-killing ,war crimes and crimes against humanity, which will not, needless to say, be altered or dropped by the ICC ,whether the attendees of the meaningless monologue said YEA or NAY. Because no reputable international body would accept the outcome of a unilateral dialogue which –intentionally- neglects to include the agenda of its victims, none of whom were asked to attend؟ Interestingly, there was no mentioning of any of the many incontrovertible crimes which were methodologically committed over the last 27-years. By the fascist regime, not even a single word was uttered about a minor offence throughout the year-long boring sederunt sessions ,except the repeated calls for a new ,fresh start to open up a new page to build a new Sudan ,as if the regime assumes that the people of Sudan will, again, be fooled into a false sense of relief, now that the regime has promised to change course ؟ in fact what is needed now is not stretching a helping hand to the drowning general and his gang, Rather it is holding them accountable for their crimes, track down and locate the whereabouts of the huge ill-gotten assets, identify the burial places of those killed, those who disappeared without trace to this very day and those tortured in the notorious ghost-houses etc. therefore the non-signatory opposition factions should candidly inform the regime negotiators that IMPUNITY for STEPPING DOWN or POWER-SHARING is a not –on-the-table – deal , simply because they are not delegated to strike such a deal in the absence of the real stakeholders (the victims) because the regime is now evidently racing against time to reach some sort of compromise with its countless agonists ,but whether it will succeed, when, how and at what cost still remains to be seen ,as its haunting collapse will signal ,in effect, its final defeat and send all its key figures and prominent members behind bars ,if not behind the sun as we say in Sudan, when alluding to death؟ So, the opposition negotiators shouldn’t, under any circumstances, be lured into any political arrangements resulting in some form of power-sharing and end up accepting posts, which is a trap cunningly set by the regime to drive wedges between the opposition and their masses to further inflate the bankrupt regime’s payroll which will, in return , cause the hard up people to take to the streets ,and thus, deviate the opposition from its initial task of removing the regime and become part of it. Unfortunately that is about to materialize, now that the opposition has signed the road-map , which means that Sudan’s tragedy will drag on for some time, so the people of Sudan will never recover or get their hands on their stolen public money ,criminals will escape unscratched, people who mysteriously became fabulously rich could now use their hidden fortunes as clean and legal money and the thousands of the regime victims have but to kiss the dust ,so long as they are represented by pro-regime Trojan horses such like (sadiq +ghazi؟)Who are part of the opposition now , while actually playing saviors of the shrinking tyranny …and that, perhaps, is why we are beginning to see the first fruits of what they set to achieve ,which is only the beginning of a fairly predictable eventual out come ,for which they will be handsomely rewarded by the regime ..Any one bet؟
