    Part (1)
Today am in the company of the lawyer and the chairman Abdul Wahid Ahmed Alnor; who is described by his opponent as a man of divergences, and by his alliances as Mr. No. On the other hand some believe he is arrogant that makes difficult for him to communicate with others, however: he considers himself as man of principles who did not and will not desist from his principles, unless the root causes of the problem in Sudan are utterly removed. I was in fact alarmed that he might react on my frank questions which some among them were personal, nevertheless; after few minutes from the beginning of my interview with him; his answers to my first questions, I realized that I was in front of a different person not that controversial Chairman Abdul Wahid negatively drawn in my mind. His answers were constant and crystal clear imbued with his believed principles and visions.

Me; Abdul Wahid “I will never write a message to President AlBashir signed; (your obedient servant)”.

    Interview by Awatif Rahma
Q: What is the future vision of Abdul Wahid to sit with Government of Sudan to sign a peace deal؟
A: you have rights to ask and me also I have the rights to answer. First of all I am happy to meet you; I knew your view points from your writings that I constantly follow on your newspaper; I agree on most of what you write and I also disagree on some of your opinions; and this is a part of our human nature: but I wish if you could have put the question as follow: what is the future vision of Sudan Liberation Movement/Army led by Abdul Wahid to sign a deal with the government of Sudan؟
Q: Then I will repeat my question. What is the vision of Sudan Liberation Movement/ Army to sign a peace deal with government of Sudan؟
A: Fine; we the members of Sudan Liberation Movement/ Army believe that we are revolutionary movement rebelled against the system in Khartoum to struggle for change and transformation not to follow the same system that is the cause of the terrible current situations in Sudan. The existing government in Sudan came on power through military force and confiscated all legal things in the country; the freedoms of equal citizenship rights, that includes their geographical cultures, economy and their identity and imposed itself as tyrannical military and police state that seized everything from its citizens. This government has committed all kinds of crimes all over Sudan based on racial discrimination such as genocide, ethnic cleansing, and crimes against humanity; in addition they committed all kinds of human rights violations in South Sudan, Blue Nile, Nuba Mountains and Darfur, even in Khartoum! However; due to the genocide and the damages inflicted by the present government for the people of Sudan, we consider this government as an illegal government, because; it came to power through military coup and oppresses people of Sudan through gun point; therefore; we the people of Sudan have the rights to change such rude government by all means necessary; and we also as a movement the priority of our strategy is to change this government and create Secular, Federal, Liberal and Democratic state. However; these objectives and goal would be accomplished in three ways; the public face; is our sixteen years cooperative struggle, hand in hand with Sudanese people against recent tyrant government in Khartoum. We sacrificed with tens of thousands of lives of our best comrades; we have millions of our families been killed, raped and displaced from their lands and homes. Our movement operates in all Sudan, we have student bodies in all educational institutions in higher and in lower levels; we have as well our membership office all over Sudan and in Diaspora. Nevertheless; we could say in humble pride, that we have contributed much with others, that includes revolutionary forces and opposition political parties to corner the present Sudan genocide government.
Q: what are the roles of Sudan Liberation Army؟
A: On military aspects; the military wing of Sudan Liberation Movement was established in year 2001, then our first military operation against the present regime in Khartoum was in 2002. We sacrificed and offered thousands of martyrs and still struggling with our nonstop change motto; “they must go”. In the summer of 2016 we alone confronted the enemy for ten consecutive month battles from six in the morning up to ten in the night, whereby the government according to our sources was using 30 jet fighters, conventional and non conventional weapons in addition to thousands and thousands of regular forces and its Janjaweed militias lately called rapid forces. When we defeated them they unscrupulously used chemical weapons against us and our civilians; for more information you can read the report of Amnesty International on Jabal Marra. Although; we believe the struggles, sacrifices and martyrdom of our comrades through facing the state military arsenal is for the people of Sudan to be free.
Q: What is the political role of the movement؟
A: The third aspect is political and diplomatic ground, for us to have peace there must be security on the ground, to stop the genocide and rapes through disarmament of all government militias and expulsion of all new occupants from the lands and (Hawakir) of the indigenous people in Blue Nile, Nuba Mountains, Darfur or anywhere else in Sudan; then guarantee the individual and group freedoms. Nonetheless; any peace process must address the root causes of the conflicts, and the root causes; are the equal citizenship rights and opportunities, equal division of wealth and power; then after that comes the peace building through mechanisms of what we agree upon. Then foundation of peace must be build on democratic transformation which are the rights, not privileges given to people by the government of Sudan or the United Nations, these are the rights of the people of Sudan to live as free humans in their country, not under gun point or under mercy of fascist Islamic state; and these are conditions and our vision to sign peace deal with the current government in Sudan.
Q: Mr. Chairman Wahid your opponents call you arrogant and International Community call you Mr. No, what do you say؟
A: This attitude is personalization of national issues whether from the side of the international community or from others opponents. Its very naïve to reduce all complicated crisis of the country on the personality of a person called Abdul Wahid; whom they underestimate, and in fact this is the part of the problem instead of to ask the Sudan Liberation Movement to tell its visions concerning the solutions to Sudan historical chronic problems. However; I say all what they have stated is a naked truth, the Sudan Liberation Movement/ Army is a peace lover. In the year 2003 the movement participated in peace process in Abeche (1) and (2) in the Republic of Tchad and also in 2004 we went to Ndjamena and signed seize fire agreement between us and the government of Sudan, in year 2005 we participated in all seven rounds of Abuja peace process in Nigeria but the dilemma is that the government of Sudan has never honored agreements, they never been committed to any of the signed agreements! Furthermore; the international community and others, considers peace agreement is just a deal between the government of Sudan and others to be given positions in ministries and parliament. Yet; the Sudan Liberation Movement/ Army believe that PEACE comes from the general feeling of Sudanese population that they are secured in all aspects. Did all these agreements that were signed between the government of Sudan and others resolved problems of security, health, education, or even livelihood in Sudan؟ According to us peace looks difference from the peace of other political forces. The peace we are seeking for; is the one that is felt by ordinary people in our country, because; the normal citizen doesn’t care who is on power, but he cares how to access necessary public services, fulfill his basic freedoms to move and work to preserve his dignity. It’s known in the past that Sudan was labeled as world food basket; but today under this regime; Sudan is hungry corrupted and it citizens are divided, according to ethnic basis, geographical belonging and religion affiliation.
In fact there is no country it’s yet to be created. Though; for these reasons we refused to sit with the system, since our vision regarding the peace process is dissimilar from the government elite, opposition elites and as well the international community. Within sixteen years both the rebel groups opposition elites; signed 46 agreements with the current regime in Khartoum which have never brought a single peace on the ground, so do they want us to sign peace deal Number ( 47 ) to bring peace؟ We consider any negotiation with government in Khartoum must have preconditions, without preconditions the first beneficiary would be the government of Sudan, because it follows policies of buying time by using the oppositions groups to market itself, “ Oh we are peace loving government “ . To be frank the regime in Khartoum cheaply succeeded on those tactics to introduced itself to the international community and legalized itself by fake negotiations, which we are very sure, will never bring genuine and sustainable peace to Sudan. If you closely observed the peace negotiations between the government of Sudan and the elites opposition parties in Ethiopia; the government of Sudan blocked the humanitarian access to the affected civilians in Nuba Mountains and Blue Nile that forced the suffering citizen to lose hope on oppositions who failed to achieve their simple basic needs.
Q: what are the relations between Sudan Liberation Movement/ Army and the State of Israel؟
A: Smiled: I am very proud to ask me this question, and also very happy that we as the movement followed new polices that we call it “an open policies”; which is built on trust between us and our people in Sudan; whereby; we don’t deceive. For that reason we defeated all our opponents before Sudanese people. We went to the State of Israel in 2008; I personally as the Chairman of the Movement visited it, the times thousands of Sudanese refuges sneaked in Israel like in any other countries in the world, before that I visited the Republic of Tchad, Libya and the U.S.A and all countries in the world where Sudanese refugees from different ethnic groups crossed in; however; most of them were from Darfur who fled the genocide. Also we opened offices anywhere they arrived to be organized and I have explained the reasons in details to the hosting country. Although at that time the State of Israel in the eyes of the government of Sudan was Satin, which is impossible for any human being to deal with it. Ahead of the news of my visit to Israel they rallied with a coffin box in Khartoum that symbolized my death. The public media in Sudan and some Arab countries focused on me in consecutive two weeks; describing me as fifth column, infidel (Kafirr) and so forth. Unfortunately; without slightest shame, the same Salafist hard line Islamist government, today is openly seeking for mediations to create any kind of relations with the State of Israel.
Q: Do you mean the call of Yousif Al Kauda, one of the Islamic groups’ leaders that urged Sudan government to create relations with State of Israel؟
A: There are many of them in the Sudan parliament. However; before my visit, could any one of them even mention the name Israel؟ The members of Sudan Liberation Movement/Army are head of them on thinking and say with pride and full mouth that we excel the elites of Sudan thousands of years ahead in all kinds of thinking. Therefore; it’s hard for them to understand and deal with us on terms of bringing the ever lasting peace to Sudan. They have been lying to the public all these years and the people of Sudan today are more advance in their thinking than the elites of Sudan whether in the government or in opposition parties. This is the same State of Israel which was a State of great devils; so what is new today؟ But on the other hand regarding the relations with the State of Israel; if we became rulers of Sudan, we have no problem to create relations with State of Israel and Palestine too, and urge both of them to have peace between them and good neighborhoods that is based on mutual respect and exchange of bilateral interests. Then if we are fifth column or stooges of State of Israel and it supplies us with weapons as they claim, we could have took over power from them in five days only without being exhausted all these years.
Q: Did you find political assistants from the State of Israel regarding Darfur crisis؟ Did you meet any of Israel government officials؟
A: I went to the State of Israel to meet Sudanese citizens living there; I repeat I did not go there to look for help, I will repeat if I was assisted this government wouldn’t have stayed long.
Q: You did not meet any of political officials in Israel؟
A: On personal level No, but as representing people who have chosen me to lead them; whether people like or not; we have representatives in United Nations Security Council, United Nations and in regional and international communities; so its normal to meet any person representing these bodies; and if I visit any country there are some protocols and procedures, such as security procedures, but I didn’t have any formal meeting with any of Israel officials.
Q: My following question might be hot for you.
A: No problem its normal. You are welcome.
Q: Some people accuse Abdul Wahid that you are a warlord, benefiting from the continuation of the war؟
A:(laughter) I would add more. They also say Abdul Wahid lives in apartments in Paris and people are dying in Darfur, and he doesn’t want peace, he receives money and he has no problem! All these are lies and cheer arrogance. We said on the first day that; to be real peace in Sudan, there must be security on the ground, the lands of people taken by new settlers must be given back to the owners, disarmament of all militias, compensations to the victims individually and groups, freedom of expression, beliefs, belonging and political affiliation. All these are the demands of the Sudanese people not my personal demands. Did you ever hear that I requested to occupy the post of the vice president or president؟ Did I ever requested or pleaded that certain people be appointed governors or any other posts؟ What am I going to get from such posts؟
Q: They said that there are warlords in Sudan, and the government rapid forces are in the circle of these accusations; who benefit from the war by being paid to fight؟
A: of course the government of Sudan created the rapid forces to kill innocent people of Sudan and we created Sudan Liberation Army to protect them. Also our raised issues to be listened we had to hold arms, to bring the government on negotiation table; it’s the government of Sudan that said that they will not negotiate with anyone who did not hold arms. First of all this government is illegal because they came to power through use of force, then as a result; must be changed through military force or popular uprising and these are our rights not gifgts that anyone can give us. I will ask you. What do I benefit from this war؟ Now you met me in Paris; although as a father, husbands and a family member; you should have interviewed me in the middle of my children, family, my friends and my people in the land where I was born and grew up and have my childhood memories; which you can’t buy it with money of the whole world; money equal zero in exchange of all what we have lost but still we burn out to achieve it to the future generations of our country; whereby; they will not be discriminated due to their ethnicity, color of their skins, geographical direction or religion affiliation but due to equal rights of the citizenship. These are the basic principles of our movement. The government of Sudan divided our people due to ethnicity; northerners and westerners, made them kill each other, meanwhile; they sit on power in Khartoum, so our struggle is to change the wrong mentality of the elites to create Sudan of equal citizenship, not Sudan for the elites which was found by colonial power to serve the interests of the masters of colonial power.
Q; All movements are described as been built ethnically for personal interests that lack ideologies and objectives؟
A: as a matter of fact, we have no country built for nation. The British invaders at the time of their colonization to Sudan created certain selected elites among the community to serve their interests after they leave. Therefore; they educated those in special schools to prepare them to be their successors. Among them were the graduates of Gordon administrative and management school, today called university of Khartoum, whereby the major Sudan political parties were created through it. On the day of Sudan independent; the Conference of the Graduates C.O.G, farewell message to British administrators, was signed; “your obedient servant” which means they are servants of Britain not of the Sudanese people, with my due respect to their history.
Is it possible for me to write to Omer AlBashir your obedient servant؟ Imagine that at the same time other peoples in other parts of Sudan were resisting the British. Yes the elites whom they raised them up are their real agents, and as a result; the country is run by that mentality up to today. Nevertheless; when you criticize the status quo the elites circle will cast false accusation of being racist or diversionist; simply because you belong to normal public not to their elites circles. It’s the same way they segregate and divide the normal people of Sudan, because they follow the same techniques of “divide and conquer’; that they inherited from the colonial masters. So they divided the tribes of Sudan in to Northerners and Southerners, Darfurians, Dinka and Nuwier and so forth in all over Sudan. When anyone in Sudan dare to reject such divisions and categorizations or rebel against it; then he or she will be classified as racist! The colonial elites mentality do exists even in opposition political forces; they call us Darfur Movements, like South Sudan rebels at a time Dr. John Garang; not only that; am Abdul Wahid Mohamed Alnor the Chairman of Sudan Liberation Movement/Army from Darfur and belong to Phoor tribe they would put me in that circle but even send me to my village in Jabel Marra; and also the same happen for other rebel groups like Zagawa; they would attribute it to Mini Minawi or Jibril… etc. Simply the idea behind it is to reduce us to the levels of our villages and kill our characters, to indicate “oh they can’t talk on national levels”. Moreover; let us take Dr. John Garang as an example; he came up with great practical and clear vision of news Sudan where all political parties failed to bring up since the independent of Sudan; however; this national hero came from South Sudan; as its well approved that the intellectual potteries is not related to ethnic or geography. Our real problem in Sudan is lack of real political plans for the country; so for these reasons Sudan Liberation Movement/Army came up with the vision of Secular Federal Liberal Democratic Sudan, and we clarified that the religions are our beliefs and human values but they should not interfere in the affairs of the state to guarantee the fostering of freedoms of belief, as Sudan is a country of diversities, so we should not distance anybody to benefit equally. People might fear the word secular; but we did not grab secularism as an ideology we just took the part of separation of the religions from the state and equal citizenship rights to shun discrimination.
The elite’s governments in Sudan without exception fought South Sudan on ethnic basis. At the time of democratic rule in Sudan, they created tribal militias to kill South Sudanese and in the time of Islamist government led by AlBashir they created religion forces by the name popular forces and Jihadist militias who committed unspoken genocide until South Sudan separated from the mother Sudan. The same ideology is still in progress in Darfur; they created ethnic racist militias to exterminate people of Darfur and we did not respond to them in discriminative manners, because we have a plan to establish country that respect its citizens, without discrimination between the normal citizens and the elites. However; the elites reject such vision, scared to lose their fans that they claim to represent, however; in the system of SLM vision the follower will be representing themselves in the country of equal rights of citizenship. Definitely for these reasons the change will include them the both elites in the government and in opposition parties describe us as racist. We rebelled, suffered and still suffering to change those who brought our people to this stage. In 61 years since the independent there came the rule of Prime Minister Azhari, President Abuod, President Nemeri, the transitional governments, Prime Minister Alsadig and today the Islamist National Congress Party but as if “things change to remain the same” the mentality is one but they play it in different ways; some play it rough and some others soft. Sudan is a greatest country in the world blessed with multi ethnic population, diversities in all countries in the world is source of power; some even encourage immigrant to come in. But it’s only in Sudan the diversity becomes source of weakness, where people of one nation is divided and discriminated ethnically or according to their religion affiliations. The diversity in Sudan is not area of dispute, but it’s the reality of our country and must be dealt with it as soon as possible.
Regarding the conflict between the elite in the center; I have a friend who describes this case as “deep country which must be changed”. There are some in opposition parties whose disagreement with Omer AlBashir is on the structure of the country and how to be governed, but their sole predicament is how to remove him for certain reasons. On the other hand we want to change the old structure of the country; nevertheless, it is not important who will rule it Abdul Wahid or Albashir! That will be the choice of the Sudanese public to who themselve have better programs to serve our country.
The differences between us and those graduates of colonial school and the international community on the other hand is that; we believe that the Sudan in 61 years after independent is wrongly structured and must be reformed, nonetheless; the wrong concept of the international community is that; they believe that those elites are well educated better than any other people in Sudan. However; the elites were able to market the problems of Sudan in a comprehensibly to the outside world. Now we are fighting day and night to disapprove the wrong perceptive pictures given to the international community by the minority elites about Sudan; which were not real. Let us take South Sudan as an example: The international community built their assumptions about South Sudan problem as simple as a problem between North Arab Muslims and South Sudan Christians. Therefore; the South Sudan was separated from the North. However; this was not true! The problem is that; there are elites on power and impose a certain rule of power and religion to be followed by the common people of Sudan, at the same time people of Sudan are struggling to change such system; it’s the same change we started struggling for. Today the Sudanese youth have started leading themselves for change and anyone who stands against it is like somebody stands against the history or against the main stream. The country built on such wrong structure will not be able to survive.
Our movement is in all parts of Sudan and there are many who support our vision; however; there are opponents who try to mislead the public in discriminative ways that, people of Darfur if they took over power will kill you and rape your women. If such distortions are true; the Janjaweeds are killing, looting and raping as I talk to you; but it never happened that our forces entered in any village of any tribe to retaliate for the atrocities they committed on our people.
Concerning the ruling system, the elites have no experience to run the country, they lack the scientific structures of the country, they lack economic experts to properly direct the economy of the country; that’s why you see them behaving as if Sudan is their own property, because they were raised up in a way to believe that Sudan does not built to belong to the nation of Sudan which does not include all components of the Sudanese people. There are no economic laws or auditing system; for these reasons Sudan became failed state, because the employment criterion in government intuitions is due to family relations not qualifications; though today they fear the eminent coming change in Sudan.
Sudan in middle history has 700 years of experience of ruling system from Sultanate of Alzargaa, Sinaar and eastern Sudan; well organized administrative and economy systems and rule of law. Furthermore, the current ruling system in Sudan which is misspelled and been abused is taken from Darfur Sultanate that had experience of thousands of years in administration and good governance.
Now the problem for the elites is the fear from the eminent change and they have no solution either resistance or join the movement of the change or get burned in the waves of the change.

    Part 2
    • Abdel Wahid Nour (2): Sadiq al-Mahdi is part of the crisis that brought us to the failed state now.
    • Peace comes with positions we will not go to it; the Darfur crisis can be resolved by self-determination
    • An open interview with the Chairman of the Sudan Liberation Movement/ Army Abdel Wahid Mohamed Nur; to answer questions that circulate around the positions of the movement with its opponents and the government of Sudan. On the other hand to discuss the positions of the Sudan oppositions to the negotiate with the government of Sudan to resolve the crisis in Sudan; beside the proposed mechanisms of change.

    Interviewed by : Awatif Rahma

    Part (2)

    • Abdel Wahid we are the only Movement that doesn’t care about international community.
    • The Darfur crisis can be resolved by self-determination.
    • Peace that comes to give positions we are not part of it.
    • Abdel Wahid I want to liberate Sudan from those individual who classify people (we and them)
    • The solution is to remove this government and eliminate the reasons for wars.
    • With the name of the religion people of Darfur used to kill the southern Sudanese.
    • We are ready to pay any price to achieve our goals.
    • I would be proud if sanctions are imposed on me.

Q: Some attributed split among the armed movements; to the absence of political and future vision and the search for the self glory among the leaders؟

A: I have described this case before and I called it the morals and political culture in Sudan. For example; the Graduates Conference when they requested the British to leave Sudan; and demanded the independence from them; they differed among themselves; a team wants unity with Egypt, meanwhile; the others want independence. They were only two parties, Umma Party and Unionist Democratic Party then both divided in to four parties because each of them divided in to two and the story goes on.

Q: (interruption); but the experience of the political parties is different from the system of movements.

A: Please let me finish my answer to you; for example the Unionist Democratic Party divided to many parties; the same split happened in Umma Party, the Communist Party, HAG and the Al Baath Arabic Party. Even the current government, they were Muslim brotherhood, after that; they formed the Islamic Front after they took over power; they became National Congress Party, and removed their spiritual leader Sheikh Alturabi from power. The National Congress Party that divided from Islamic Brotherhood again split to reformist. Sister, the split that happened in Sudan traditional political parties; is the same happened to the liberation movements. Yet; those who say that there are a large number of movements in Darfur, if we consider Darfur in terms of the population it exceeds 8 million persons and socially in comparison with the rest of Sudan it presents 8 million people; if we take the Northern Sudan in terms of numbers of population it doesn’t exceed 2 million persons. However; all Sudan political parties their roots came from Northern Sudan. Now to those who say that Darfur movements reached 30 movements, including the three movements if compared with the parties in the North who are chaired by 90% of the people who are from North Sudan then you will realize who is divided mor!. As I told you the mentality of the elite’s political parties are trying to imagine that we do not have a vision for Sudan, but only them who have the vision. This propaganda is to send message to us that anyone who doesn’t belong to the class of the elites have no vision. Although, we as a movement; said that we are insisting to establish a state of equal citizenship until we are named (Mr. No). what is the vision؟ They are principles that you view as a solution to the problem of the country and how to be governed. Hence the elites fear this vision so they doge to distort, and stop us from this vision. Although; we believe that there is no solution to the Sudanese problems except the state of citizenship, where there is no person to be higher than a person. It is also necessary to recognize all the historical mistakes and those who committed crimes should be kept accountable before the law, as well as those who looted public funds that were to go to the development and benefit of the citizen since independent up to today specially the current government of Sudan. Those stolen properties must go back to be used for development to benefit the public; because state is the property of the people. It is not owned by the ruling class; then there can be development in all Sudan. We are planning not be like the current regime who appoint ministers in a ministry and bring all their family members and his village community to be employed in that ministries. It’s impossible to run the state in that manner; the state belongs to all Sudanese people.
Very sadly the same elites started spreading rumors that; if any other people out of their groups come to power in Sudan; they will commit crimes and such crimes against the elites of the center! We are the victims of genocide; if we wanted to do something or separate Darfur, is it difficult to do so! Sincerely we believe that the beauty of our country is in the unity of its people and the unity would not be unless we all agree and acknowledge each other; because if any other system come to power and tries to oppress like today the oppressed will also carry arms, and the problems will continue endlessly. We have taken enough experiences that in our suffering; so believe and so do the wise and sane person; that the old Sudan which is rule by the elites will not develop and progress. We must go back to the reality of the state of equal citizenship based on separation of the religion from the state where there shall be collective and individual freedom for all the people in the counrty.

Q: Don’t you think that political polarization and division of movements will prolong the war in Darfur؟

A: it’s a good question; but the problem is not only the problem of Darfur; but the crisis in Sudan which Darfur and Kordofan problems are parts of these crisis.

    Q: I mean the Darfur war specifically؟

Its not just war but the genocide and I mean the crisis of Darfur is crisis of Sudan, which is in Blue Nile, the Nuba Mountains, Kordofan, in the North, the Aljazeera and Khartoum. It is the crisis of unequal citizenship. However; there are different games that the Sudan government handles these crises in Darfur. For example, genocide, rape and murder in Darfur but in Aljazeera it kills them with cancer, without providing medicines to treat, however; the only projects that were beneficial to the people of Aljazeera, were sold to Arab investors and the return does not go to the people but to the government officials in terms of commissions. In North Sudan the only farms that they profess are the farms of dates trees the government also took over their lands in Kajbar and sold that land to Arab investors to build dams as another objective to bury their ancestral ancient civilization in water; like it happened for the Nubians in Egypt and North Sudan; when Nasir dam was built to bury ancient Nubian pyramids and monuments. So the crisis is not the crisis in Darfur. When the government brought Mubarak al-Fadil from the Umma Party as well as Ahmad Balal from the Unionist Party and signed agreements; did they bring peace to Sudan؟ Also remember the Comprehensive Peace Agreement between the government of Sudan and Sudan peoples’ Liberation Movement SPLM; did this agreement achieve peace in Nuba Mountains؟ Instead it separated the South Sudan; also add to that, the Darfur agreements in Abuja and Doha also did not achieve the desired peace, then the problem is not in resolving the Darfur crisis alone, but to remove the government in Khartoum who are in power and create all these crisis; so they must be changed completely; then establish kind of government where the authority will be in hands of our people. Nevertheless; the ruling party in Sudan doesn’t want peace; because in peace the Sudanese people will not chose them.

Q: The Darfur crisis will not be resolved unless Darfur rebels get unified؟
A: I say the basis of the idea is wrong; so, the solution is also invalid. I am a member of the Sudan Liberation Movement/ Army and you still persist to call us the Darfur movements! We want to resolve Sudan crisis, including that in Darfur and the Blue Nile.

Q: let us suggest it as Sudan problem; what is the solution؟
A: No; do not suggest. Because it’s false; let us both of us come to conclusions. First of all; people must recognize that the problem is not Darfur only. So if it was about Darfur only; we could have resolved it through self-determination then the problem in Darfur as geographical mass would have been resolved long ago. Nevertheless; what about Darfur in other regions and how it could be resolved؟ Also what about the crisis in other regions؟ There is eviction and displacement for people from their lands in Blue Nile, Aljazeera and Manasirr in Northern Sudan. The problem lies in the mismanagement of the country which is divided in to cantons that belong to individuals. Unfortunately; their lack of vision made them to divide our people in administrations of the Sudan. The government of Sudan is the crisis itself. So the solution is not signing of agreements to Darfur, Blue Nile or Nuba Mountains. On this analysis many agreements were signed and have never brought a single peace to people of Sudan, but when the causes of the war that leads to wars are removed; there will remain no reasons to carry arms. However; there is a government that export problems to all parts of Sudan that includes even Khartoum; so the comprehensive solution is to remove this government to avoid more wars.

Q: Is there a possibility of uniting the movements؟

A: I also ask you a question; why didn’t you say the unification of Umma Party and the Unionist Democratic Party, to be united for God sake. Since modern Sudan was found, they were the only two political parties, but today how many political parties do we have؟

Q: I asked a specific question the unification of the movements؟

A: In this way, you are reducing the problem that these movements be unite to be given positions isn’t it your perception؟
Q: Interruption: This is not my understanding Chairman Abdel Wahid.

A: Am not getting you. What do you mean by the problem of Darfur؟ I understand the problem of the Sudan in Darfur and the reason is the government in Khartoum and that control the power and wealth in a way that is discriminative. So unless this governemnt is changed the problems of Sudan will not be resolved. Now we are members of Sudan Liberation Movement/Army; how can you unite us with the Darfur movements؟
    Q: I mean the SLM/A with other armed movements؟

A: you mentioned that I am the member of Sudan Liberation Movement/Army; so how can I unite with other movements؟ We rebelled against the system to liberate Sudan. Do you know from whom؟ From the person who categorizes people as (we and them) we want to liberate Sudan from the person who comes to divide us, like oh; you are Darfurians and you are people of Nuba Mountains, even you personally is putting me in context of Darfur; we want to liberate Sudan from similar people. This is our idea.

Q: Does this mean that the objectives of the arms groups differ and there is no common ground؟
A: Of course, when you put me in the framework of Darfur, that mean we to resolve the problems of Darfur as geographical space; however; those who do not live in the geography of Sudan they live in social Darfur; what are you going to do for them. Do you understand now؟

Q: What is the relationship between Chairman Abdel Wahid and the Communist Party؟
A: I have no any relations with the Communist Party. I was not a communist in a day. Communist Party is an old party with struggles that resist totalitarianism; we have all due respect it. They are left Marxist party and we are a liberal secular party.

Q: (Interruption) but the common ground between you is secularism؟
A: We are completely different from the Communist Party. They are a socialist ideology. We are liberal, but the Sudanese government has adopted a strategy of religious passion and sympathy; Oh “Darfur the Koran, the writing Quran and clothing of holy Mecca” meant to distance us from our supporters, so we are described as Communism, and then Abdul Wahid is described as a communist, to isolate me from my people at the meantime; they killed tenth of thousands of those who recite Koran by heart in Darfur. If they were really people of Islamic state and of Koran; Darfur should have become a heaven on earth. But sadly; they use religion, race and geography to dissipate people; the policy of “divide and rule”. But still we say a secular state, separation of religion from the state and the problem of Darfur is not a religion problem, but in the name of religion they used people of Darfur to killed people in the south Sudan.

Q: Chairman Abdel Wahid putting secularism to presents himself to expose other opposition groups or the movements with Islamic backgrounds; intended to get support and acceptance internationally؟

A: The people who classified others by this understanding is the only mentality of the elites supremacy, which cannot think out of the box; and still wants to undermine the struggles of others; through their narrow mentality of elitism. You observed very closely that we are the only organization that doesn’t care of the international community. In Abuja 2006 when the Americans requested from us to sign the peace agreement we refused; because they refused to amend the agreement. It was possible to accept and follow the international community. But as I told you, the mentality of the elites is a self defeat, basically because they are not aware of our way of thinking, so we cannot reach to any common ground with them. Revolution in their eyes means a position; although; for us revolution means change and transformation. We want united Sudan. Religion in politic gave us genocide and division of our country, and degraded Sudan to the levels of fail state. We must put the religion away aside. In Islam God said “thou we sent you to be blessing to all mankind”; and in Christianity God said “glory to god in the highest peace on earth and good will to people”. Peace means not to kill people or divide them according to color or race. If the issue is Islam why do they kill people of Darfur who themselves are %100 Muslims؟ I would like to tell you that the elites whether in government or in opposition, even in their organizations do not accept normal citizens but depends on external protections. On the other hand; we are on the side of our normal citizens and are fighting to achieve decent live for them. Moreover; if the external pressures that we get is against the interests and wellbeing of our citizens; we will never accept it.

Q: What are the pressures that you have experienced regarding your rejection to dialogue with the Sudan government؟

A: Every time there is statement threatening us with sanctions that we are against peace. But the question is; is there peace until we obstruct it؟ The pressures are too much; however; we did not rebel for the international community but for the sake of the Sudanese people. However; when real peace is achieved, we will be the first to adopt it in front of the people, but peace deal of positions with other party! We will definitely not be part of it.

Q: Chairman Abdel Wahid they describe the Sudan liberation Movement as an obstruction to peace. Don’t you fear that you will be charged or punished or be classified؟

A: You mean to be classified as terrorists’ movement, for example؟

A: It is possible; and could happen; why not; if the African National Congress Party which struggled to stop the apartheid system was punished by the British government as a terrorist organization. Therefore; its normal from those who have interests with repressive dictatorships; may think this way. However; people who are supposed to be punished by sanctions are; those who own companies and money in banks. Meanwhile; President AlBashir whose hands are stained with the blood of innocent children and he admitted that he only killed 10 thousands only, is not asked, he moreover tours the world freely despite the warrant of arrest from the International Criminal Court. It’s simply because they have common interests with him. On the other hand for example; a person like me, Abdul Wahid; to be punish on which basis؟ Money! I don’t have them as well as my hands are not stained with the blood of the innocent civilians! I am a freedom fighter, on the contrary, if they punish me; I will be so proud to be punished on my principles that I carry and that will add more values to me; because we refused any dirty deal for the sake of our people. For example, the travel; if they ban me; (I may not walk on my feet, but will be a rebel for life).

Q: Sudan Arm Forces categorizes you as the weakest movement in Darfur; which does not engage in combats; just suffice with political activity within IDPs camps and hide your troops among civilians. What is your response؟

A: Of course, this is not true. First, this government since we started the rebellion against it said that we have no army, and in every summer, every year, the government mobilizes big number of troops carrying different banners with different names; hot summer, hell and others…etc. The last of these military operations was in 2016 where the government was in a state of ceasefire with all other rebel groups except our movement. It mobilized all its forces from jet fighters, bombers and rocket launchers to eliminate us, by using; even the chemical weapons which are forbidden its use worldwide. The testimony of the use of chemical weapons against us and against our innocent civilians was reported by credible body; the Amnesty International. So if we didn’t have troops who they were fighting؟ Maybe they were fighting with angels descended from heaven or were fighting trees or stones! Instead we defeated them and got annoyed; until they used chemical weapons against us. The problem of the elites’ government in Khartoum is mocking themselves by reduce the whole problem of Sudan in my personality. On the contrary we are fighting to return the civilians to places of their origin; so how can we hide among them. It’s the government that killed, rapped and displaced them from their villages. Even today; there are more than 300 thousand new displacements in year 2016 in Jabal Marra, due to government new attacks and use of chemical weapons against them as reported by the United Nations. Why does the government bomb the innocent civilians in their villages and not our forces who are still in Jabal Marra fighting them؟ As an organization we exist allover Sudan in all diversities of our country; we have the ability to cause riots in all Sudan to show our power. In Abuja peace talks they said that we didn’t have forces; so why do they lobby their friends among international community to sanctions us; on what and for what؟ If we are nothing to them; why every time and then bleat telling the entire world that we refuse to sign peace deal with them, and that we are against peace. If we are finished by them and are not there; why do they run behind us to sign peace deal with them؟ They need us on what basis since we are not there!

Q: Since the vision of Sudan Liberation Movement/ Army is a national vision what is your position on the disputed on Halaib between Sudan and Egypt؟
A: The problem is not that of Halayib only, we have also Fashaga in Eastern Sudan. All Sudan borders with our neighbors are well drown and known, we have no rights to enter someone else territories as well as others have no rights to do so. This is how we see it.

    Q:Is Halaib Sudanese soil؟

A: If the boarders was that was drown before the independent; the Halaib belongs to Sudan; but if it’s other than that; then it’s Egyptian. However; I personally not sure but the evidence would be the maps of colonial power of the independences; so it’s very easy to solve such disputes. However; if it’s documented that its Sudanese land so we will never leave an inch of our land to anybody.

Q: What are your relations with French political parties؟

A: Yes I have relations with French political parties.

Q: What did they add for your visions؟
A: They added a lot; the values that I got are; the democracy in terms of constructive criticism and constructive responses, principles of accepting others in one nations, in addition to devoid of personalizing national issues in persons; also not to make the nation as part of personal organization; instead plan programs for the sake of people according to their needs. They shun military coups that oppress and humiliate human beings. I sat with thinkers, writers and philosophers from different political and religious affiliations; I will transfer such good experience of forgiveness to my people.

Q: Will you convey these ideas to become part of your goals؟

A: Of course, we will convey these beautiful values and there are other humanitarian features that we will transform to our country. It is the principle of tolerance, respect and higher human values to prevail in our society instead of hatred, murder and self interests and to be free from illusions; if we fail to achieve all we can at least tolerate each other to live together because Sudan belongs to all.
Q: What is the relationship between Abdul Wahid and Umma Party; as Darfur is considered a closed area to Umma Party؟

A: for sure people these areas were supporters of Umma Party and they were only voting to it; simply because; in those days there was no much awareness among the populations of those areas; so its normal in those cases people to follow parents and relative and mimic them.

Q: You have never been (Ansari) the supporter of Umma Party؟

A: I was never been a supporter to Umma Party and never voted for it. However, as an organization, we still have a respect to this party which did not officially participate in a totalitarian government; but on levels of individuals, this is another matter. I met with Mr. Sadiq al-Mahdi for the first time in Paris Declaration; I confronted him with bitter criticism for his wrong policy in Sudan. He explained to me his view points on what I said, and this is a historical testimony; I did not find a polite man and a leader like him who has those values in accepting other opinion as well responding it decently. He amazed me in fact. He is an example of a man; I endow fatherly respect for him. Add to that; he visited my mother in Cairo when she was sick. Nevertheless; my political position with the Umma Party is quite different. I am very clear that the Umma Party is part of the Sudanese political elite that brought us here to this failed state. This is my political position, but the other social position he is a respectable person; whether we agree with him or disagree with him. Moreover; he is a Sudanese man, he also managed to bring government of the majority in the history of democracy; if we agree or disagree on this fact.

    Part- 3
An open interview with the Chairman of Sudan Liberation Movement Abdul Wahid Mohamed Alnour

    • If we did not achieve our demands we will never give up to the International Community; who may throw us in dustbin tomorrow.
    • The government of Sudan exports terror by sending Rapid Forces as mercenaries to get money.
    • Those short sighted elites want us to be short sighted like them.
    • We are fighting the elites both the government and the opposition who divide our people.
    • We don’t fear Umma Party because we have far advanced political visions.
    • We much appreciate French people and their gvoernemnt, but we know also where the interests of our country lie.
    • The elites of today were the cooks and servants of colonial powers in their houses.
    • Government Minister Usama Abdalla is the beneficiary of commissions.

    Interviewed by: Awatif Rahma
Q: I mean to which extent Mr. Sadiq influenced your supporters؟

The Umma Party is well know that, most of its supporter are in the West of Sudan, they came from these regions on the social as geographical and extensions. But our supporters are not only in Darfur, but allover Sudan, however; the elites would puts you in your geographical scope; to build you base according to your ethnics and geographical dimensions not on political program and this the mistakes they commit. Our political visions are national not built on geographical bases or ethnical; therefore we are fighting the wrong concepts in the minds of the elites, who always try to put other in a geographical context meanwhile give themselves as the overseers on national levels. They classify Sudanese community; as “these are Darfurians and in Darfur they divide them as Black and Arabs, then they classify one tribe in family linage and so on”. This is the same mind set of the elite whether in opposition or in the government. After all these classifications they come to play the role of the saviors to unify us. We as a movement, we have a clear vision; the state of citizenship in which every Sudanese can find himself or herself in that vision the vision that unites the people of Sudan. Therefore; we don’t fear any political party that includes Umma Party; because we excelled all political parties, by our comprehensive political vision and our methods; in due respect to the Umma party.

Q: What is the validity of previous report that you were expelled from France at the time of the former President Sarkozy; because you refused to go to sign a peace agreement؟

A: Of course, this is not true and these are lies of the government of Sudan. I want to make clear to you that the French government, including the current government; several times they demand us to go to the negotiations and sign peace agreement with the government of Sudan, since Abuja up to the current road map. They inform us officially, including Britain, Norway and Germany, but we as an organization are in a democratic state and we cannot give in to them on how to deal with the regime in Khartoum. We have our own vision on that regard; from this point we discuss with them to explain and clarify that we know the interests of our country better.

Q: Does this mean that you were not put under pressure؟

A: when they tell us that we must go and sign, is this a pressure؟ But I would be very frank with you; any pressure makes me defend more the principles that am fighting for. I will not give up and I am ready to pay any price for it.

Q: One of the things they blame you is that you insist on your own opinions؟

A: It’s not a matter of opinion, but governed by the principles of the movement that stipulated the creation of a state of equal citizenship based on the separation of religion from the state. Is secular federal democratic liberal state achieved؟ We have not yet achieved. Did genocide, rape, the return of displaced people to their villages and compensation, the release of civil liberties for all Sudanese, and the end of racism achieved؟ All these demands have not yet been realized for the people. Should we, for example, lie to the citizen we live with them and please the international community tomorrow؟ Or the important is to achieve the demands of our people! Where was the international community when all those signed agreements have not been implemented؟ The international community has already issued several resolutions, including the disarming of the Janjaweed and the decision of the International Criminal Court. There are dozens of agreements signed with international guarantees; none of them have been implemented and they have not monitored or pressured the government of Sudan to abide by these agreements. This in itself is a lesson learned from them. What is the point of being a leader and not bearing the pressure for the benefit of your people؟ That mean you are a leader of the international community and not of your people.

Q: You mentioned during the interview that the movement has an integrated program for Sudan can you explain more؟
A: In our opinion, the Sudanese state has suffered crisis since independence when the British entered the Sudan and controlled it and imposed a colonial reality and took control of Khartoum, meanwhile the peoples in other parts of Sudan were resisting the colonizers. When the East of Sudan was resisting under the leadership of Osman Digna the British colonizers called him “the shrouded dusty” because of the fierce intensive resistance from the East Sudan fighters. The South Sudan, the Blue Nile, the Kordofan, the Nuba Mountains under the leadership of Sultan Ajabna and as well Darfur under the leadership of Sultan Ali dinars were all resisting at the same time. The British colonizers were annoyed by such resistance; then declared these areas as blocked areas; where they were deprived of all privileges of service because they resisted the colonizers. Therefore, the British sought to form a Sudanese state that can serve the interests of the United Kingdom or the empire where the sun never set. Though; they created a circle of their own obedient group. They created them from those who were working with them in kitchens and servants in their houses; they worked with the British intelligence for the British army and helped them to end the rule of the Mahdia. They assisted the colonizers to end the sultanate of Darfur and obeyed them completely. When the colonizer brought the administrative staff from Britain and the other colonies, the crew was desperately in need of local staff and administrators to lay the foundations and structures of the colony. Nevertheless; more staff was also in needed to establish service in health, education and other things. That groups who assisted the colonizers were chosen by the masters to fill in those vacant posts and be close to the masters. So it was normal for their children to learn in schools of the administrative staff of the colonizer, be treated in the designated hospitals. They opened schools to graduate employees to serve the interests of the colonizer and for nearly six decades they were able to produce two generations who are in harmony with directives of colonial interest, and the service of the United Kingdom. The English got convinced that they found generations in Sudan who can serve their interests and this generation was the generation of the Graduates Conference that wrote your obedient servant to the colonizer and convinced the British that they actually found people to serve them. When the colonizer decided to go out and announce the Sudanization, the same group of the GC wrote a petition to the British and signed your obedient servants and the colonizers were welcomed by their representative who followed the same policies of the masters” divide and conquer”, these elites since the departure of the masters have failed to establish a vision and plans for the country or the citizen.
Q: Whom do you call the elites specifically, the political parties؟
A: I mean all and political institutions in particular that emerged from the same structure I have previously mentioned. They don’t have any vision for the country. Where is their agricultural project, since Sudan was named the basket of world food؟ In such a fertile soil where are their economical projects to up lift the country economically, build infrastructure, education, human development, projects of social peace and health؟ Where is their project of national army؟ All successors of the British colonial masters without exception did zero, instead they created troubles.
Q: What are you suggestions to improve the economy؟
A: We recognized that; any country wants to build economy and development must follows two methods; the first method is to cultivate or invent new technology such as manufacturing of airplanes and automobiles, the second method is called proportional investment, or invest on what is available and have less competitors in the world market. All governments after the departure of the British; followed the first method. For example the current Islamic regime; they established Jiyad cars assembling company, and Yarmok that assembles airplanes. They import the machines from Germany and body from China to make a car. Such step has no any economical value, but for a show only, and it’s as well dissipation and depleting of national economy. The Jiyad manufactured vehicles can not complete locally or in international markets and the evidence is that all rapid forces who commit genocide allover Sudan are all mounting land cruisers thatchers from Japan not Jiad vehicles. Can we go and exhibit airplanes made by Yarmok factory in Sudan؟ No. If they are of good quality they could have sent them to be used in Yemen with the rapid forces. The drones they make cannot compete anywhere in the world؟ All these are failed projects that become burden to the national economy.
Secondly; the development of preferred qualities in national economy: god has given Sudan vast fertile lands with variety of climates and each of these climates is useful to a certain kinds of farms products; we have the longest river in the whole world, in addition to other thousands of following rivers, add the largest reserve of ground water in Darfur. All these water resources put us in front to be the best country to self-sufficient and as well supply others with food. On the other hand we have animal resources no country in this world to compete us. The meat of Sudanese cattle in Gulf markets is sold in double of that comes from Australia or any other market in the world, because of the taste of the meat due to a certain environment. We have also fish resources in both river Nile and red sea, who does the fishing؟ Zero. Now if there was honest national economic project, we could have controlled the world meat markets because these cattle are a preferred quality. It’s also possible also to establish farming projects for the benefit of our citizens, and could also be a source of income that would boost our national economy. We can plant trees to produce the best quality of gum without any competition in the world. If one million six hundred thousand hectors of land which doest exceed the squire miles of Kordofan, the annual revenue is estimated 20 billions of dollars. If we required to apply the method of preferred quality, we can produce ( Barseem) the best animal food in the entire world, where the running cost equals zero, in rotating system we could farm 120 hectors in every three weeks and the revenue is estimated 30 billion, although this plantation grow everywhere in Sudan. If we plant all Sudan the revenues could cover the whole needs of the country of hard currencies. Furthermore; we have hibiscus plantation which was nowhere in the world only in Sudan, but today China is number one producer. However; it’s very sad and painful to say that all these information were available in hands of decision makers since independent up to today; nonetheless; the elites have modified the public services with personal interest. The person in charge of Jiyad cars manufacturing company imports his personal cars from Japan and Germany; but he would fight for such collapse projects to continue because, he and his group get commissions from it. Imagine! They import parts to assemble in Sudan instead they would better imported tractors for farming processes which will bring revenues for the benefit of our people. They don’t want any development for normal people of Sudan; because they are not on power for our people but may be for other people we don’t know. Moreover; Sudan with mineral resources such as gold and other minerals; so if the government invest in such projects it can rehabilitate Sudanese families, facilitate job opportunities and also boom the national economy. Even we could not have sent mercenaries to Yemen to die there in exchange of dollars. The reasons for such mess are the occupation of the elites all government institutions and turned them to serve their interests. The bad example of those elites is the former minister of the current regime Osama Abdalla who forbids Sudan citizen to use solar system the alternative power, which is the safest. Instead he came up with water generated power project, which is very expensive and less safe, then he built dams where lands and farms of thousands of people in northern Sudan were drowned and families are displaced in addition to intentional drowning of Nubian pyramids and monuments; the civilization which is thousands of years old. In fact there is no plan for power project but the objective behind it was to get commissions for himself and his group from Arab monetary funds. The clean power project in western Spain covers only 450 square kilometers; meanwhile, the space covered by desert in area between Egypt and North Darfur is four times bigger than that of the Spain.
The reserve of underground water in Sudan if it’s planed in better scientific ways we can give up the water of our River Nile. On these projects I can speak days and months in details because we even have no competitors.
Sudan is a store to all minerals that exist on earth, we have oil and biggest reserves of natural gas in the entire world, we have Uranium 92 the best of its kinds, we have diamonds, gold, and copper; we are richer than all gulf countries. What pains me is to have a country that is the heaven of god on earth, and its citizens are displaced, hungry or demeaned all over planet earth. If we had the vision of a country since independent we would have become the superpower country, economically, militarily, socially and culturally and fighting the terrorism with regional and international democratic groups; to reinforce regional and international peace. We have a great country; however; the short sighted elites made us to be considered short sighted nation too.

    Part (4)

Abdul Wahid: We fight the mentality of the elites , who personalize the interest of the nation in themselves. With their cheer arrogance they hijacked the idea of Sudan revolutionary Front from us.

The Sudan Revolutionary Front was built on principles of our vision; so I will not accept less than to be its chairman.

The Sudanese Newspaper Al – Hawash

    • We have revolutionary morals; we do not exploit the entry of reliefs as trade or weapons to strengthen ourselves and starve the citizens.
    • We are working at any time, any place to fight the mentality of the elites that personalize issue of the nation for the persona interest.
    • When Albashir told elites opposition leaders on media on regard to their agreement; “soak that agreement in water and drink its juice”; means that they are weak and unrecognized.
    • The Sudan Revolutionary Front was built on the principles of our vision; so as a chairman of SLM, will not accept less than to be Chairman of SRF.
    • The elites are trying to give impression that we are deceived by the government due to the shortcomings of our minds.
    • Elites do not care about the suffering of their citizens in the Blue Nile and the Nuba Mountains, therefore; they even did not negotiate compensation and a trial for the perpetrators of genocide and ethnic cleansing on negotiation tables.
    • With cheer arrogant the elites hijacked the idea of the Sudan Revolutionary Front from us, because they recognized the idea is good but they deserve to own it better than us the producer.
    • If Sudan elites do not stop vilifying others; we will reveal a lot about their exploitation on the suffering of the civilians for their personal interests
    • The excuse of the elites of hampering the reliefs to reach Nuba Mountains, by claiming that they don’t want to repeat the mistakes happened in Darfur, is considered as despicable arrogant of the elites.
    • It’s known to everyone that the elites aim to invest and benefit financially from the relief by transporting it through their personal means of transportation.
    • We were caution to ally with such kinds of people who come to be empowered by us and then run to sign agreements and deals on our account.
    • The elite use a relief as an indifferent weapon to satisfy their material interests without a care of the suffering of their people.

Interviewed by: Awatif Rahma Part 4

Q: What do you mean by elites and who are they؟

A: I have already mentioned that the English colony created elites, to govern Sudan on behalf of them, after the end of their colonization. Therefore; immediately after independent the British handed over power to the ranks of elites who they created. The elite’s class created its own same community as the British did to rule the country to control all the resources of the country. The elites copied the colonial masters when they used the Sudanese citizens and transformed them from their living normal natural Sudanese community in to the new world of elites to exploit them.

    *Q: How so؟

A: For example, the educational system in Sudan has no any connections with the Sudanese communities; complete isolation from village environment. It’s known that in any levels of education; there are drop outs and others continue to certain levels and some others reach the higher levels. However; those reached the higher levels; when they come back to the village, they look at their peers drop out or age mates as primitives, back warded and he is given special privileges from the rest; and so on. Moreover; on the level of his family, he is regarded as an elite and he or her believe so. Hence; when the family goes to farms or to graze the cattle; they are left at home with someone to serve them, be a sister or a relative or anyone else. Unfortunately; son or the daughter of the village is turned in to an alien in his or her own community; that includes their own families and accept the character of an exploiter with applause; which is far away from the daily struggle of their families.

Q: Did you mean the children of rich clasess؟

A: No I don’t mean the rich classes but I mean the projections of the wrong education system in the country; that impresses the person that as far as he or she reaches the higher educational levels that he or she is better and know better than anyone else in the surroundings. Therefore; they refuse to associate with them, because they are backward. Instead they better let their communities make use out of their education. So these British colonial made elites forget that all what they are now was from out of the suffering of the family. Unfortunately; they only meet with their uneducated family members at food table only, and they accept that status with pleasure. Let us go to the cities or small towns, for example, you will find the commanders of the army sending soldiers in military vehicles to cut down big trees which are shelters in farms of the villagers, for the purpose of selling them in big cities as building materials. Not only that but he could send all soldiers under his command to work in own farm, in addition he has a person called; follower, his servant in military law; such person is a slave of an officer, the time of his graduation all through his life without any payment! What do you call it؟ The same for police officers who uses police forces and prisoners to make bricks for their personal benefits and local councilors, the government officials all exception work the same ways. After all of these bad behaviors they create their special circle of community far away from normal citizens to protect their exchangeable interests and as well loot the citizens. Let us take president Albashir as an example; when he was commander of the arm forces in South he was treating South Sudanese as if they were his slaves and was calling them (Abeid) or slave. He also said after he committed genocide in Darfur that; “ If Jali man (his tribe man) raped Darfur women, such act should be regarded as honor to her rather than a shame; because; she is just a slave women honored by free man through rape”. This is the ways how Sudan is run since the departure of the British colonial masters. Nevertheless; all these odd behaviors goes back to our educational system that isolates the child from his or her community to become an elites of British creation.

Q: Do you mean the speech that came out in a tape recording from؟
    late Dr. Hassan al-Turabi؟

A: Let us stop at the commander in chief of the elites, late Dr. Hassan Alturabi; the person who gave himself a big weight and created distance between himself and the normal people. For example they will tell you that Dr. Al Turabi recites the holy Quran in seven different notes! Please tell me sister what are these notes؟ Or they would exaggerate; oh; “he speaks seven languages very fluently and in different standards”. They sometimes even can introduce you with one of the elites and tell you oh; she or he is a grandson of the prophet; so that you fear and can’t keep them accountable for any mistake they commit. However; do normal citizen understands all this؟ or what does he or she benefit from this nonsense. If we go back to the religion of Islam and the correct understanding of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, he said to his daughter Fatima (Oh take all what you need from my property but I can’t protect you from the God ). Here; what does the grandson of prophet means؟ To cheat you, steal you and take your properties because he cannot be accountable, because of his relations to Prophet Mohammed! Such are the elites behaviors, who are always empty minded who fears the public and his colleague not to be discovered as an empty tomb. Therefore; he isolate himself far from the public not to be discovered, and doesn’t discuss even within his own organization because he might be discover by others who are better knowledgeable than him. Although;; the best thing he could do is to advertise himself through others by paying them to speak in public about him by telling mythical stories and fake achievements and victories. The elite is devoid of humanity in him; he can eat in front of his personal guards without giving them, only what is remained. If we talked, for example, about the military institution, the officer in the Sudanese army is prepared to oppress the citizens, the evidence is the repletion of such slogan in military school; “God is above and the army down on earth”. It’s possible if any of army officers impressed by a beautiful woman, he can rape her, and if any of the family members protested or defend; he comes with armed troops to intimidate the entire poor family. The elite’s state wants to alter even our diverse culture we cherished in as a nation. They want to change our cultural folklores song with a kind that pleases them. For example; if local citizens beat drums for their cultural dances or occasion, they would reflect it on media as being a primitive behaviors. Even they criticize the use of local dialects, if someone from Shaigiya tribe said (Aleilak} which means for you; they laugh at him and say no, is (Ileek) which is the same meaning. If someone from Eastern Sudan come to the center the stronghold of the elites and said ( Alaha Taalam), that means God know; they also provoke him and tell him to say ( Allahu Alam) and it’s the same meaning. If Rezegi said; ( Ilme) instead of Alma, they laugh at him. However such behaviors of provocation from elites, is practiced against all the people of the margin in Sudan.
However; the biggest problems come to those who speak African languages in Sudan. They are considered even not Sudanese citizens; because; such languages are not conforming to the language of the elites in the center. African languages the elites call them (jargons) because they do not match their language. How can you call a language spoken by 10 million people a jargon, where is the scientific definition regarding languages؟ However; any means of communication between two or more people is considered as a language; therefore we have a language of the eyes, the language of hearts and the language of the birds. Nonetheless the Arabic jargon that the elites speak, they consider it as a language meanwhile; others are not languages but dialects then attack them as backward that must not be recognized. The diversity for the groups of elites is a curse rather than bless. They do not accept the beautiful diversity of our country. Even the beauty standards for the elites is the one that they recognize it, otherwise the one in contrast to their standard is ugly and this type of mentality has made us distorted society; hence our women in Sudan started using creams to fulfill the requirement of elites standards of beauty which are depicted through educational curriculums and media. They portrayed a beautiful woman to have white or brown color and the texture of the hair to be straight not kinky. Such system stereotypes tell what would we expect from our sons and daughters؟ Nevertheless; if you are out of this frame means you are primitive, uneducated, so this is how we are put in a quagmire long ago.

Q: Who do you mean are elite’s opposition؟

In all these concepts that I mentioned the elite opposition comes to us as an opposition not for the noble causes of Sudanese people but to himself only. He comes with his self centered mentality to exploit the cause of our people; although; we are from the same homeland, we have common issues since the independent; despite I don’t consider it as an independent, because; it did not handed over the Sudanese citizen their will and decision to chose whom they want. However; the elite took the form of colonial system that they inherited; to use us like puppets.

    Q: How؟ Explain more.

A: When the government of the so-called democracy was formed after independence and that government failed for two to three years to continue. However; as a solution, they handed over power to President Abboud as conspiracy to hinder the rival party not to win. In 1964 the October uprising came because of the deterioration of the public services and the curb of liberties; then President Abboud quit power peacefully; then again the political parties took over power through elections also the public services worsened and in those days whenever former president goes to the markets to buy his needs, the public in the market would assemble surrounding him and started repeating “we misplaced you and we are lost after you Mr. President”. Then the President Nimeiri came and his regime was toppled by popular uprising too, and then followed by Prime Minister Sadiq al-Mahdi. When the economic situations went wrong, at the time of Sadig Almahdi people started singing lamenting former President Nimeiri by singing “the butcher was better than the praised one”. Since that time up to today, if we can make comparison between the period between the time of the former Prime Minister Sadig and President Al-Bashir we can talk days and years. Bashir took over power by force from democratically elected government. On the first day of his rule, he said “I came to power only when Sudanese pound reached twenty pounds against the US dollar”. Today one dollar is in thousands of Sudanese pounds not in tenth as it was at a time of the Prime Minister Sadig.
Now let us come and see how the elites in Sudan look at the national problems. When first rebellion happened in South Sudan in seventies; the former President Nimeiri signed peace deal between him the rebels in South Sudan, then nothing has change either in North Sudan or South Sudan; because the agreement was not fragranced with development projects or basic public services. However; its gave the rebel leader Abel Alair position of Vice President, then followed by the agreement between the National Front and the former President Nimeiri in Libya; then came the Comprehensive Peace Agreement known as CPA in 2005; also we ask ourselves what did this agreement gave to the Sudanese people؟ Instead it separated South Sudan and brought more wars that are covering Sudan today. All these issues I am raising; no one among elites’ oppositions can even talk about them, simply because they are cowards. On observation to all signed agreements that included CPA, Abuja Doha peace agreements, they did nothing to the public of the two areas and Darfur as well. Nonetheless; they were just given positions such as deputy speaker of the parliament and governor …etc. although, the question would be; did they struggle and paid all these prices for just such little positions؟ I am now hearing the voice of the opposition elites talk on the issue that relates to the humanitarian AIDS to the two areas; Blue Nile and Nuba Mountains. On one of their statements they mentioned that they don’t want to repeat the same mistakes of Darfur. Which means that people of Darfur are been cheated by the government of Sudan and the humanitarian AIDS were transported through government controlled areas. This is a wicked and despicable method that describes us as mentally deficient. We have our revolution ethics that define the interest of the citizens. Nevertheless; our struggle is for the benefit of the Sudanese citizen. We never use the suffering of the civilians to satisfy our material or political interests. It’s clear that these elites are incapable of producing the event, therefore; they use the suffering of the innocent civilians to produce themselves. If they placed us in Darfur geographically, as they always do, we were able to demanded compensation for the affected people collectively and individually, as well as demanded the international criminal court to arrest those criminals who committed crimes of genocide and ethnic cleansing for fair trials. Meanwhile; the same crimes that happened in Darfur are the same crimes committed against the citizens of Blue Nile and the Nuba Mountains and we did not hear one day that the elites asked for compensation to the people of these areas, although they experienced the same tragedy happened in Darfur. Moreover the elites did not demand the International Criminal Court to arrest the criminals who brutally killed innocent children in those areas. On the other hand we demanded equal citizenship and as well reject in a systematic way any agreement under any pressure which does not resolve the problems of citizens from their roots. In addition to that we have revolution morals we can’t prevent the entry of the reliefs because; the victims when they are hungry, sick or in need of water, clothing, medication or accommodation and tents they do not care about which ways their needs come. Moreover; we do not consider it a weapon to strengthen with it, and when the government refuses to deliver relief assistance we have our own ways to pressurize, but we don’t deprive citizens of the humanitarian reliefs.

Q: You mean to say you have no agreement on relief routes؟

There are no routes or anything of those kinds. However; everyone knows that the reliefs in Blue Nile and South Kordofan are suspended from the sides of the opposition. The reason simply is that there are parties that want to benefit financially from the logistics of relief that comes from aboard, via the carriers owned by the elites’ oppositions. If the government blocks the accesses of the reliefs to enter the areas of the deprived people, then we have our own means of pressure. We will never do anything at the expenses of poor suffering people. However; everybody knows our sincerity in issues concerning Sudanese people; we asked the compensations for those affected by wars as individuals as in groups as well as those criminals who committed the genocide and crimes against humanity be fairly persecuted in the courts of justice in Hague. However; for elites’ opposition, the suffering of the citizens is none of their concern; but they think how to exploit that suffering for self creation. I challenge them if they have ever negotiated the compensation for the affected citizens in Blue Nile or Nuba Mountains at any negotiating tables that were prepared. What is important is the delivery of humanitarian aid to affected people. This is important, and it does not matter where they come from. We don’t want any cheer arrogant from any one to mock us. Let them go anywhere to make their deals without underestimating others. These are the issues that muted issues of Sudan, if there is a need, we will reveal a lot.
Secondly; the elites’ opposition if they had agreed on Asmara momentous protocol, I wouldn’t have been here with you for an interview. Although; the elites in opposition and the government they are good at signing agreement but poor in implementations. Is there any single concrete thing been applied regarding the Asmara protocol؟ Today both the government of Sudan and the opposition are lamenting the separation of South Sudan, as if they didn’t sign on those protocols! However they are all accountable before the Sudanese future generations for giving up the dearest part of their mother land.

    Part 5
The last interview with the chairman of Sudan Liberation Movement/Army Abdul Wahid Mohamed Ahmed Alnor that discussed issues concerning the peace negotiations and the problems faced the course of Sudan Revolutionary Front (SRF)
    • Abdul Wahid: The mediator looks at us like mad people who must be expelled from Hotels or any consultation forum.
    • Abdul Wahid the freedom fighter; if you find me have a bank accounts, then I must be a thief.
    • We refused the leadership of Justice and Equality Movement to Sudan Revolutionary Front; because they are from the background of the of the system machine.
    • The elites in the opposition requested the dedicator to whack us.
    • Thabo Mbeki failed to resolve his country’s problems; how can he resolve Sudan problems.
    • What opposition parties are doing against us the National Congress Party didn’t do it!

    • The elites established organizations to curtail the suffering from the marginalized people of Sudan, meanwhile; they exploit the cash follows for their personal interests and to approach the lobby groups within international decision makers.

    • Islamic brotherhood and Al-Qaida is one body. Ahmed and Alhaj Ahmed.

    • Britain refused to give us visas because we are threat to its National Security.

    Interviewed by: Awatif Rahma

Q: Chairman Abdul Wahid you requested to lead Sudan Revolutionary Front (SRF) why؟

A: First of all the request to lead SRF is a genuine democratic rights for any member in that front. Second: my request to lead SRF emanated from our diligence intentions to implement the principles on which the SRF was found. The most important principle is rejection of negotiations with the regime in Khartoum, which does not address the central parts of the national crisis; in addition, we put in to consideration the agreements signed between the government and the different factions in opposition groups, which consequently depleted the efforts of opposition and disturb all tactics. Thirdly: Our concern to lead the Sudan Revolutionary Front because; SRF came as a result of series of errors accompanied the public opposition framework. Therefore; SRF remained the only hope for any savior who wants to save the people of Sudan from the yokes of Islamic regime in Khartoum. Though; it was joined by Altoum Haju from Democratic Union Party, Mr. Nasir Aldeen AlHadi from Umma Party, Zeinab Kabashi from Eastern Sudan, The objective was to create well-informed tactical body, in harmony with the standards of endless public opposition methods. On the contrary; the body became the most important tools, used by the system in Khartoum to abort our entire struggle against it. The differences were not on basis or agreed principles of Sudan Revolutionary Front, but it was the hijacking of the basis and the principles to run with it to the regime in Khartoum for personal deals between the system and the elites. Although; when we were rejected to lead SRF we didn’t let it go; but we supported Sudan Peoples’ Liberation Movement SPLM, to lead the front for some considerations; the most important among them was that; at the time of Late Dr, John Garang SPLM sought for New Sudan which is in some areas agrees with our vision of Secular Liberal state. Meanwhile the other choices for the leadership of Sudan Revolutionary Front at a time were; Justice and Equality Movement and we had precautions that they are part of Islamic group who split not from the current, but from the Islamic major system which is the real machine of the existing regime in Khartoum. Therefore; we were much aware that, how much such body retained in the minds of the people of Sudan. The second option was Comrade Mini Arku Minawi who was part of us and breakaway then joined the system in Khartoum.

Q: The rumors say; you were not accepted to lead SRF because you don’t have military and political balances that would promote you to that level؟

A: I have explained the reasons in previous answer why we were rejected to lead SRF؟ To answer the part of your question that says, we don’t have military equilibrium and political weight that enable us to lead Sudan Revolutionary Front. I would ask; when did such criteria were the basic qualifications to lead any opposition group؟ Let me recall the nearest history of opposition group in Sudan and abort these factors which you have mentioned out of your mind. Why Dr. John Garang De Mabior did not lead the opposition group that formed the National Democratic alliance which was formed in Eritrea, despite his movement SPLM was the only military power, diplomatic influence and new vision that inspired the new generation of Sudan؟ Despite all these qualifications, Dr. John Garang has never led NDA for a single day. Another example is the lawyer Farouk Abu Eissa who doesn’t even belong to any political party but he became the head of National Consensus opposition group. My dear sister the elites in Sudan create standards according to the variable situations and interests. However; our criteria to lead any of the opposition group; are to abide with the struggle moral code, be honest and consistence to distinguish between the personal and national issues. Therefore; our military and political weights increase as long as we are committed to our positions. Hence; on this regard we have only one pledge which is; there is no any negotiation with the regime that has committed crimes against humanity. Nevertheless; any further negotiations would enable the system to commit more genocide. The government of Sudan confronted us with all its repressive forces, from ground troops, aerial bombardments and used of chemical weapons that are worldwide forbidden; because of our committed principles. Nonetheless; those atrocities caused the displacement of hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians and rape of tenth of thousands as one of its tools. But despite of all these heavy attacks we fiercely faced the enemy whether in the areas of our control or in areas controlled by SRF, and we sacrificed and watered the revolution with the blood of best of our comrades, some among them were holding academic certificates; where most of the elites did not even attained them. Then if we don’t have military power, why the regime in Khartoum runs behind us for just negotiations؟ Also the system continued its diplomatic efforts against us to be sanctioned and as well to be expel out of the friendly hosting countries, at the meantime most if not all of the rebel factions and opposition parties ran behind the regime in Khartoum to sign pieces of peace deals. In Abuja/ Nigeria we were put under pressure to sign Abuja peace agreement and we refused to sign it; after few days the system refused to implement the agreement on the ground when the rebels signed the agreement started groaning; the head of the regime Albashir said in public media; “soak the documents of Abuja and drink its juice”. The weight for us is; to stick on what we have promised for our people to achieve for them. So for these reasons; we are ready to lose thousand battles than to lose our cause and ourselves at once, because; we seek solutions to the public problems of our people; not like the elites who hunt the solutions of the crisis in the eyes of their personal projects.

Q: You are not acceptable figure to the International Community, so how can you explain your problems to them؟

A: (laughter) what are the standards used to be accepted internationally؟ If the understanding of international acceptance is to be drawn in negotiation table, and give up to the regime in Khartoum; for sure we don’t have relations of that kind. However; if you mean the relations with those really want to resolve the crisis and address the root causes of the problem. I would say; we have a lot of relations with many of our friends with whom we discuss our national interests. I would tell you the truth that the Doha negotiation forum which is now ridiculed and mocked was found to find the ground between us and the government of Sudan. But when we discovered that the forum was biased on favor of the regime in Khartoum, we rejected it. Nonetheless; it’s my rights and the rights of all Sudanese people to ask innocent question; what did the international relations that were created by the elites since the current regime came to power up to today brought for us؟ The answer; it brought the Comprehensive Peace Agreement signed in Kenya that separated the South of Sudan. What else did the elites international relations brought for us؟ It brought Abuja Peace Agreement signed in Nigeria. What were the fruits of this Agreement my dear sister؟ It brought more wars and displacements. So we don’t value our relations through collection of pictures for albums; we value any relation for the sake of the cause of our country.

Q: you are accused of been hampering the efforts of Sudan Revolutionary Front by issuing statements out of the organization regulations؟

A: Absolutely; you are right; was to to redirect them on those principles that we agreed upon. The most important among them was no negotiations with the regime in Khartoum, and to overthrow it. Subsequently; when the positions of SRF was changed and some opposition factions wanted to drag us in to its traditional ways to negotiate with the regime in Khartoum through so called Road Map. Therefore; when new tactical developments happened; it was a must for us to explain our position to the Sudanese public; that we have never agreed on principle of negotiations between SRF and the regime in Khartoum. Sadly; the elite’s minds set wanted to prevent us even to practice our natural rights in cases of differences and our commitments that we are struggling for. They went further to insert us in the saloons of negotiations without even giving any room to put our opinion. In our statements we have never used derogative language such as traitors, fifth column and so forth; but we explained that we did not take the course they took. Regrettably; the minds of the elites look upon our position in hostile ways and released arsenal of accusations, because they sought our position as a exposure to their traditional tools that they use public issues to serve their personal gains.

Q: what are the ways out do you think to resolve Darfur Problems؟

A: The problems are not in Darfur only.

Q: I mean the problems of Sudan that includes Darfur; what is your opinion؟
A: the problem is not the problem of Darfur but the problems of Sudan that perch in Darfur; nevertheless; the solution is to create delegation that would represent the Sudanese citizens to sit with the elites in the government and the opposition parties on the other hand; to discuss how the Sudanese citizen could be able to bring back their stolen legacy Sudan; from the few elites who failed to address the suffering of the Sudanese people. Instead they are working hard to please the masters who handed down the country to them when they were leaving Africa. This country was stolen by British colonialism for hundred and twenty years; sixty pre-independent and other sixty years post-independent. It’s a high time for the normal citizens of Sudan to retake their country back. Then the public civilians can nominate their own representatives to plan how to develop their country.

Q: In which ways are you planning to let the mediator understand your positions؟

A: We have proposed our clear opinion to the mediator regarding solutions to the problems in Sudan and Darfur in particular; but he sees us as crazies. Meanwhile the opposition parties view at our solutions as not acceptable to the government because they want to sign quick deals for self creations without considering what the normal citizen will get. It’s just like new CPA that was signed in Kenya or second Abuja to be resigned again. In fact it’s so sad that the opposition elites see these two worst agreements as good examples. Let us take the former elected prime minster of Sudan Imam Alsadig AlMahadi and Omers Albashir who came with military coup and removed him from the office, why the international community did not organize negotiation table between Al Bashir and the legally elected prime minster to discuss issues of peace and democracy؟ The negotiations tables are found by the peace loving people among the international community because the government killed innocent civilians, displaced them and there are those who took arms to protect them, for these reasons they found negotiation tables to discuss these issues. The elites on the other hand took this as an opportunity to invest in them by putting solutions that would achieve their common interests and the government of Sudan; instead of to think first about those who were killed, raped and displaced from their home and other people took their lands. These are the behaviors of the elites who get in clothes of saviors and sign fake peace agreements which doesn’t exist on the ground, but such situations legalizes them as oppositions and are protected by the international community, nonetheless; both the opposition parties and the government of Sudan are elites and mere exploiters, and their only differences lies on how to steal the normal public of Sudan. I would like to ask you an innocent question. Have you ever heard about a rebel in a bush who owns tens of millions of Dollars؟ From where did he get all these amount of money؟ Of course he must be a thief! Me Abdul Wahid if you have seen such big amounts of Dollars, from where did I get this money؟ Then I must be a big thief too! In the meantime; all opposition parties know very well that the present regime is very weak, because; it has committed major crimes against its own citizens and wanted by the International Criminal Court ICC but also every country wants to use current Sudan government for their country’s’ interests.

Q: (Interup) but you are suppose to explain to him your views of the solution; right؟

A: Let me finish. The mediator Thabo Mbeki starts his journey from Johannesburg to Addis Ababa, sit with his bureaucratic officials and advisors who know nothing about Sudan problem; only either through the government of Sudan which is the problem itself, the opposition elites and the civil society groups which all of them play the role of the elites and know nothing what is happening on the ground. Then third step comes to Khartoum to meet the elites from the government of Sudan, the opposition parties and the civil society groups who are all based in the center the core of the problems. Do Mbeki know the problem of the Manasirr, the Nuba Mountains, the blues Nile or the problem of our people who travel two days to bring drinking water؟ He doesn’t know the problems of unemployment of Sudanese youth; he doesn’t know the problems of the people in north Sudan whose inherited lands were confiscated by the government of Sudan to rent them to Arab investors for their personal gains. He even doesn’t know the problems of the dams. He doesn’t know it simply because he has never been there to know. Mbeki failed to resolve his country’s problems even he failed to finish the first term of his presidency in South Africa because of his corruptions, so the failure person is not qualified to resolve other peoples’ problems. Despite all this when we propose the everlasting solutions to Sudan problems; then we are seen like aliens, meanwhile; the opposition elites are regarded as responsible individual.
This is our tragedy concerning the problems of the Sudanese people. Therefore; any negotiations in such manners, we will never be part of them. The fundamental nature of any kind of negotiations between two bodies, the following steps must be followed: First: acceptance of both parties on the mediator; and for us as representing the cause of our people, we must guarantee that the mediator is neutral and impartial. Second: both parties must agree on the place or the venue of the negotiations, the agenda of the negotiation, the facilitators, the supporters, the sponsors and the institutions of the implementation of what both parties agreed on. These are what is called the procedures before negotiations and as well as to create conducive environment for negotiation what we called it the security and freedom of our people, then comes the stage of the declaration of principles through which the peace process begins. None of all these steps happened; therefore; it was so normal for Thabo Mbeki to draft their road map with government of Sudan and the government in Khartoum signed it, then put the oppositions in a state of; sign it or leave it!

Q: When the prisoners of war were released by SPLM; would your reactions be understood as a political jealousy؟

A: I am very sure that there is no any jealousy towards any freedom fighter that fights for the noble cause of our people; the same cause where we lost the best we had among our comrades; at the same we are very cautious about any political act any emanates from any faction intended to abort the dreams of our oppressed nation to be free from the bondage of the current regime. We regard the Sudan Peoples’ Liberation Movement SPLM as a movement known for its long struggle for the sake of people of Sudan in all aspect. SPLM as a movement fought politically, ideologically, socially and economically to bring change and better life for the people of Sudan. Therefore; we considered them as pioneers in the field of struggle, so we established the coalition of SRF with other factions due to our belief that; these groups of freedom fighters have no any relations with the system under any justifications. But at the same time when we discovered that the SRF factions are tilting toward negotiation with the regime in Khartoum; we immediately declare our known position which is against the negotiations with Islamic radicalism system in Khartoum. For this reason we have withdrawn our candidacy for the leadership of Sudan Revolutionary Front for not to be at the head of the institution and at the same time refuse to sit with regime in Khartoum on negotiation table meanwhile; the rest are willing.

But relating to the release of the Sudan government war prisoners through Sudan Peoples’ Liberation Movement SPLM; I would like to reveal a secret for you that we released thousands of government war prisoners without any negotiation with anybody or any media propaganda, because we believe that human freedom is a birth rights, nonetheless our difference is only on the way they were released. First of all these war prisoners belong to SRF not for SPLM. Everybody know who entered Abu Karshola the strong hold of the government of Sudan in 2013؟ It was SRF not Sudan peoples’ Liberation Movement/Army. Therefore; as a moral commitment SPLM/A would have consulted the components of SRF if they have seen necessity to release those prisoners of war. But SPLM/A to release them as they are its own war prisoners; such act touches the moral basis of any group collective efforts.

Q: what is your opinion on the release of war prisoners by President Albashir and drop of death sentences against them؟
A: I would like to say that those honorable freedom fighter, their places are not the prisons if we had democracy in our country. Those people had opinions if they were given chances democratically they would not have rebelled, but Albashir in public media said that he will never negotiate with anyone who did not hold arms. we came to power through arms, he added. Those prisoners are not criminals but freedom fighters, their place is not prison but in the open air. On my opinion Al Bashir did nothing. On regards to death sentence; the war prisoner are not killed according to international laws and treaties. However; president Albashir is a dam ignorant and those elites around him no nothing about international humanitarian laws, they know to deal with laws of jungles ruled by the lion. They feel elated as if they did something good but they did nothing, if the release was for the genuine national dialogue that addressed the root causes of Sudan problems; the release of these prisoners could have an impact in the hearts of our people and those been released. But sadly the dialogue was between the two groups of elites to recreate themselves. Therefore; the release of the freedom fighters happened in such weak scenario. These men and women have dignity more than us, they spent their lives in jails cells, some we know them and most we don’t know them because they have decency that don’t allow themselves to brag for the noble cause they believed in it.

Q: Do you have forces in South Sudan؟

A: Did any contact occur between you and President Yewori Museveni regarding peace process؟
A: Yes; they contacted us and we have been invited; but we have reasons that make us not to be part of that process. However; if there is any peace process regarding Sudan the Sudan Liberation Movement is always the first to be invited; but the structures which the peace processes are built and prepared are built to achieve the desires of the elites but not to bring back the hijacked country to the owners the poor people of Sudan for that reasons we are not part of it. On the other hand; we are struggling to dismantle that old structures and build political institutions controlled by the citizens of Sudan not the elites; but we know that the elites refuse such kinds of solutions, therefore; they deem us as peace spoilers.

Q: Was the invitation of Ugandan President a separate initiative؟

A: I don’t know; but the Ugandan President Musseveni ;I personally have great respect to him and we as an organization we trust him much as a father and a mentor; but we didn’t trust the peace process headed by Omer Al Bashir. I met our elder President Musseveni several times with Dr. John Garang so I respect him very much.

Q: There are rumors that Abu Algasim Imam your defected Vice Chairman and other movements to bring you on negotiation table what’s your respond؟
    A: No comment
A: However; I would just like to add that cause of our people is not a experimental field, and the road map will not bring peace but will find jobs and positions to fulfill personal desires not solution to the problems of the poor people of Sudan.

Q: Is there any hope that Sudan Liberation Movement will go back to negotiation tables؟
A: The ongoing negotiations have nothing to do with our projects for Sudan that we are fighting for. The negotiations are between the elite’s government and elite’s opposition; they have a lobby and certain structure of government they are seeking for. When we tell them that the permanent peace is not in such way ( laughter) they expel our delegation from hotels and in consultation forums. You might have heard several times, when we ask for the rights of our people the poor Sudanese, we are accused of being peace spoilers; but they call them the RESPONSIBLE OPPOSITION. If you realize the dirty games played by the opposition against us, the National Congress Party did not do it! There are even some people in the opposition who proposed for the International Community and the western power to destroy us militarily, politically and diplomatically in silent, then become weak and submissive to sign on the Road Map which was created by them and government of Sudan with help of international community to protect Omer AlBashir; because their problems are not the problems of poor citizens, but their main objectives are to preserve the structures of the country that is based on the oppression and repression of the citizens. Even some proposed in naivety by saying “Oh; President Albashir should not go to ICC; we should follow the example of South Africa”. Sudan is not South Africa! AlBashir did not kill, raped or displaced the son or the daughter of any of the elites opposition parties. AlBashir killed millions and displace other millions who are still in refuges and IDPs caps and we are fighting to bring their rights. who are you to propose exile strategies؟ However; for those elites the lives of other people and their humanity are not important. Imagine dear sister if a daughter of one of the elite’s oppositions is raped or his house set on fire; everything is turned upside down in media, investigations ….etc. these people they don’t feel for others. In western world if only one citizen died by mistake, the all cabinet resigns. However; for us the cheapest thing in the eyes of the government and the opposition elites is the human life. When the government of Sudan used chemical weapons against our innocent civilians, we observed very shameful statements issued from here and there even some of the opposition parties try to justify for their agreements between them and the government of Sudan under supervision of some external forces. Meanwhile; the US State Department issued an statement condemning us; the victims that we were the one who attacked the government of Sudan, the British they did not condemn the chemical attacks, only the government of France was the only western conutry issued an statement condemning those inhuman attacks when whole world continued in their eerie silent. This was the real deal between the government and the elite’s opposition to create exile strategies; very sad indeed my dear sister. These are the behaviors of the elites that we are fighting for; there is bitterness; if we disclosed it to the public; I don’t know what to say! They fight toes and nails to get titles. Birth of elites supremacy in the womb of the suffering of the suffering masses. With the name of God I ask you what the road map would do for our suffering people who are bombed by chemical weapons and stranded in the IDPs camps. After we have been bombed by chemical weapons there come the opposition elites who legalized the criminal’s government to exist bragging by saying that there is no any other movement left in the bush only them and that we have been diminished by the government of Sudan! The cheap objective they posses is to market themselves that they are the only everything on the ground; that’s their only thinking. So tell me sister how can we deal with such mentalities؟ Answer me.

Q: What is you plan to deal with newly elected US government؟

A: We as a movement and as well normal citizens of Sudan, we became very clear and would like to tell these big nations in the world such as America, Germany, France and Britain that they should not focus on their current own interests but to focus on the interests of the people of Sudan too; in the context of mutual interests. For example: the US government has interests with the government of Sudan on counter terrorism information and other hidden interests, meanwhile; its well known to the world that the government of Sudan is the real manufacturer of world terrorism. Al-Qaida and its leaders were all in Sudan. Furthermore; the mentality of political Islam is to divide roles, at a time they might be called Muslim brotherhood, in another time Al-Qaida or Daish or Isis and so on. Hence; we tell the Americans that instead of being cheated by the current regime and every time creates new names for the same body by limited information and tomorrow appear tenth of Daish groups; so its would better for Americans to come to us to change this system then they would be having beside them a country that contributes positively with them to fight side by for global peace and stability. Terrorism is war, destruction and genocide, so; instead of playing political games of carrot and stick with Sudan regime in exchange of certain information; then let us play an open game, “ your interests are these and ours interests are that” ; rather than playing deals that are not built on morals concepts, e.g.; The President Barak Obama reward Sudan government by lifting sanctions at the time where the government of Sudan immediately used chemical weapons against our innocent civilians in Jabal Marra which was reported and verified by Amnesty International the international credential body. Then let us come to Britain which was responsible for the creation of the elites’ in Sudan since 120 years ago. Sixty years before the independent and sixty after independent to serve British colonial interest. Today the old colonial Sudan made difficult for our citizens to survive; so we are struggling to change that system, so let us see where your interests are as a country representing your own people as well as us representing our own people, then; let us together change the system. We should change the regime that kills its own people, so on this vision we need to sit with the government of Britain to debate as two entities. Here we would like to remind the Great Britain that time of the elites’ governments is over, hence; it needs to change its policies to create new generations who could be able to deal with new generations of their former colonies who did not grow up under elites colonial system.
By the way sister since 2004 am not allowed to visit Britain, because we said it’s high time for the Sudanese to recover their stolen country; at the same time you see every opposition elite of their creation in Sudan, performs pilgrimage in London the Capital of the fog, every month as he or she would likes; but nevertheless; we are categorized as a threat to their interests, and I hope we have not been categorized like the African National Congress in the time of the apartheid system. We also simply address the Germans that instead of protecting the genocide system in Khartoum that kills is own people for just buying parts of bodies and machines to be assembled in Sudan at Jiyad motors; is just a bribe for you to keep your mouths shut in front of the atrocities they commit against their own people. Such dubious economic benefits are against the moral codes of countries such as the Germany that still suffers from the wounds of Adolf Hitler. We appeal you to leave us alone and stop empowering the regime. If we change the system; instead of exporting spare parts, we can agree with you to do business in justified global standards and franchise the German car manufacturing companies in Sudan, in Africa standards; to sell them cross borders. The same appeal extends to Russian, Chinese and other countries in the world that supports Sudan genocide regime.

Q: what do you mean by elite civil society groups؟

A: The investment on disasters create national crisis. Since the beginning of the independent; Sudan crisis developed like the mill of Jaha that rotates without any moves. This is an example of an evil practice of politics in Sudan, where the events of its series take place between the unstable democratic system and the system of military coups; meanwhile; both are the same at regenerating the same disaster in difference faces. These two characters have the same mentality whether military or civil; that mentality they inherited it from the colonial system that was built on personal interest. It’s very sad that such mentality exists today in both the opposition parties and the government.
Let me give you example how national crisis are exploited and invested even by the opposition in IDPs camps.
Due to the policies of eviction and displacement followed by the genocide system in Khartoum to bring its own people in their knees; millions of the population fled and harbored either in IDPs or refugee camps as an accommodation; despite all of this, the war planes Antinovs reaches them in house they reserved from what nature endowed; the branches of trees and plastic bags. In these shelters the heaven doesn’t only drop rain on them but the explosive barrels. These families among them are those whose father was killed or both or one or two among them were raped and living with the trauma or one who lost all his or her family members and fled thinking that the IDPs camp is a save heaven. Rape as one of destructive weapons used by the regime in Khartoum to kill the victims morally; plus that trauma continues in the minds of the victims for life. Add to this tragedy the cries of hungry and sick children and elders with different kinds of deficiencies. Such situations as humans in our nature we should work hard to support and reduce the suffering on our fellow humans as well as struggle to get their birth rights to live decent life as humans. Unfortunately the elites in Khartoum who were the creators of this disaster continue to invest on their crisis.
The mentality of the elites eluded them to create civil society groups under the slogan of removing the suffering that perched on displaced people. They proposed and raised objectives of humanitarian projects to the international NGOs such as education for the children of the IDPs and refugees, rehabilitation projects, health care and other projects that are quickly responded by the international communities. As a result; the humanitarian assistant in material and as in cash flowed in and are still following in hands of the elites, because; humanity has no boarders no one could think that the human sufferings could become the victim of another human greed too. Irresponsibly without any moral guilt; the elites direct the results of such noble work in personal projects and direct them in project opposite of their declared objectives. For example; the education assistants; they will chose individuals either blood related or related to them in blood or political affiliation , then they chose one or two who are related to areas of the crisis to supply them with new information in areas of conflicts to guarantee future continuation of embezzling projects. The second goal is to have access to polish themselves before the international community that they are the only intellectuals who know the problems of Sudan and can speak with the names of the victims and can propose solutions to the crisis. Even they went further to create lobby groups in decision making centers in Washington, London, Paris and other capital cities in the world. However; today they are presented as people of visions who can propose solutions to national crisis; and defame who don’t agree with them as irresponsible opposition individuals. On this regards we are inflicted with so much harm, not for anything rather than our staunched commitment on the cause of our people the code of conduct that distinguishes us from elites’ opposition. Therefore; you see us my dear sister standing alone fighting the opposition elites who are worst than the elites of the government in Khartoum whom we fight. Now you see we are alienated by the government of Sudan and the elite’s opposition parties; so our tongues sing, “Alienated penchant with full of love of every home alienated person with love burns in him. If my body is with you in an alien land, my heart is in you my homeland”.
All what I have stated my dear sister, doesn’t mean that there are no national NGOs who are honest on their endeavors to find solution in national crisis! There are women and men in my homeland who work days and nights to erase tears in the eyes of our suffering people, and plant smiles on the faces of the orphans regardless of any kind of rewards; they have much due respect from us and we know them very well.
