Your opinion is wrong, there no such thing as a healthy obese, obesity equals ill health and carries a lot of risks, and for your information this obsession with fitness in the west is driven by the presence of obesity as a major health problem, do you know that 40% of American children are overweight!! So if you want to be obese that is your choice but do not be spreading rumors about drug companies etc. Of course drug companies will try to promote their drugs but this does not mean the dangers of obesity are not true and the epidemic of obesity is costing many lives. By the way obesity drugs are not popular because of side-effects and doctors use them as a last resort, this is why the focus in the developed countries is on diet and exercise. Anorexia exists every where but it is more common in the West because of the culture of supermodels, slim celebreties and glamorising of slimness, it is uncommon in Sudan because in societies where poverty is the norm obesity is seen as a sign of wealth and hence the whole culture glamorises obesity and fatness, this is why people in Sudan give bellies so many nicknames "al7anona" "altalaga" etc. We need to confront this culture and say no being fat is not a good thing.
