Call for Papers
The Journal of Sudanese Women’s Studies (JSWS) is a cyber publication that addresses Sudanese women’s issues. It is a new publication launched by Mutawinat Benevolent Group of Khartoum.
The publication is hosted by Sudaneseonline, Bakri Abubakr.
At this time we thought that such a publication is much needed. It is a publication that will hopefully fill a gap in Sudanese women’s studies and support existing publications. Published twice a year JSWS encourages academic research, art, poetry etc…. Sudanese and Sudanists are welcome to address the international interest in Sudanese culture and knowledge, historical and contemporary issues.
The first issue of JSWS is expected by end of July, 2006.
All are invited to submit papers, poetry, book reviews, short stories and legal cases and views, in either English or Arabic for publication in the July issue.
DEADLINE, June 15, 2006.
Thank you
Asma Abdel Halim, Editor
