I think the title (I realize it is not yours) should have read SPLM Appoints Sixteen Ambassadors without the from Southern Sudan after all Dr. El-Wathig Mohammed Kameir, is hardly a Southern Sudanese. The Movement is also trying very hard to claim a national orientation and the CPA has given it the opportunity to sit in every government office from Halfa to Nimole

I hope those appointed will actually contribute to a reorientation in Sudan’s foreign policy and not be cocooned at the Ministry without too many responsibilities. I agree with you about Dr. F. Deng his age along with his current international prominence should have excused him as a candidate – perhaps it was the veteran status that made him a choice

I also hope that those who were prejudicially dismissed from this Ministry along with their colleagues in other branches of the Civil Service find a just solution to their plight
