وأكد أنه على الرغم من وجود العديد من مصادر الطاقة المتجددة في أفريقيا، مثل الطاقة الكهرومائية والسدود، إلا أن الكمية اللازمة لتنفيذ هذه المشاريع هائلة، وتفتقر الدول الأفريقية إلى أموال التأمين أو مخاطر الائتمان اللازمة لمثل هذه المشاريع الضخمة.
