The Fourth of March 2016 marks the seventh anniversary of the indictment of the president of the National Congress Party (NCP), Omer Hassan Ahmed al-Bashir by the International Criminal Court (ICC) at The Hague in the Netherlands. On 4 March 2009, Omar Hassan Ahmad al-Bashir became the first sitting head of state indicted by the International Criminal Court (ICC) and issued an arrest warrant for his apprehension for the atrocious crimes of war, crimes against humanity and genocide against the people of Sudan in the region of Darfur. Ever since, Omer al-Bashir remained fugitive from the international justice and shielding himself by clinging to oppressive power on the helm of Sudan against all the odds and crises of Sudan and its citizens. The insistence of the ruling regime of the NCP for holding on power at all costs is that the fall of al-Bashir means the trial of him and members of his entourage for the crimes committed during the period of their authoritarian rule. Their trial takes place either through courts within Sudan, or external trials at the International Criminal Court (ICC). The people of Sudan are struggling and fighting a group of criminals rather than politicians in the traditional sense. As a matter of fact, the components of the people of Sudan continued fighting the (NCP) regime which religiously legalized corruption, killings, and other atrocities reflected on each region, and in every household, and on everyone in Sudan. The hypocritical elements in the regime will not only reap shame, but their fate devolves to the guillotine of the history, eventually. Omer al-Bashir continued receiving unlimited political support from the tyrant members of the forum codenamed the African Union (AU) and from some permanent members of the UN Security Council based on cross-benefits. On the other hand, all the honorable people of Sudan and Darfur stand steadfast resisting the plans and policies of the (NCP) regime aimed for the destruction of Darfur through the alleged ‘Administrative Referendum’ in April 2016 and handing over the land to the mercenaries and the Janjaweed militias. The regime of the NCP aims for rigging the outcome of the so-called ‘referendum ‘in keeping with the distorted image of the previous fraudulent April fool’s day elections ended with the inauguration of Omar al-Bashir as a semi-president for life!
The fourth of March of each year represents the day of the initial victory for the lost justice in Darfur. Furthermore, this day in history carries many connotations for the victims and survivors of the genocidal warfare waged by the (NCP) over the past 26 lean years of the reign of terror and atrocious crimes against the unarmed noncombatant civilian citizen population of Sudan in Darfur. To get rid of the chronic and evil situation the people of Sudan need a massive popular revolution that topples the (NCP) regime, which had prolonged grip of power in Sudan by all the available means.
The means of the popular revolution include the unity of purpose and collective action, and the demise of the regime of the NCP, the common arch-foe of the people of Sudan, with a view to ousting it. Moreover, the application of transitional justice on those who committed crimes against the Sudanese people and handover of those offenders indicted and wanted to the International Criminal Court (ICC). We also continue valuing and accepting the tireless unlimited support from individuals and groups that still remain supportive to the cause of the people of Sudan in the region of Darfur and lobbying the international community decision-making great powers. The people of Sudan in Darfur also take on board the “End Genocide Mission” for the sake of a united action to End Genocide as an act, not a lip service. The responsibility to protect (RTP) populations from genocide, war crimes, ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity” also remained not acted upon by the United Nations Security Council’s (UNSC). Thus, and ten years after the Genocide in Rwanda in 1994, Genocide crimes committed by Omer al-Bashir in 2004 against the people of Darfur. And ever since such crimes perpetually committed by the (NAP) regime using proxy militias and mercenaries in the Nuba Mountains, South Blue Nile and throughout Sudan. The international community in view to their preoccupation with events occurring in other hotspots has relegated the crisis of the country called Sudan to the back burner.
Participants in the Sudanese Popular Revolution- Uprising
Include in the participation all components of the people of Sudan made up of committed political parties, genuine political opposition, students unions, youth activists, women associations, civil society organisations, professional societies, Labour union movements and nationalist groups in the Sudan Armed Force (SAF).
A triumphant well-earned victory is coming despite the length of travel to it. At that time, it will make us pump our fist and yell "Hurrah!" The people of Sudan will demonstrate their resolve and resilience necessary to achieve their ultimate goals.
It is a popular revolution with a flame kept burning until a brilliant victory achieved!
The Old African adage said it takes a village to raise a good child but in some squalid conditions, the village might opt instead for raising a to-be or a potential tyrant inflicted by Psychopathic Personality Disorder; Conscienceless individuals do not care about their victims. Sudan’s al-Bashir is the model of the Day!
