Khartoum, 2 June (SUNA)- The minister for Health in Khartoum state, professor Mamoon Humaida, said the campaign against smoking cigarettes is one of the main priority of his ministry , pointing to the move taken by his ministry instructing all companies to stick warning against smoking cigarettes, though Sudan is one of the latest counties to take such basic measure.
The Minister who was addressing training workshop for journalists in Khartoum under the time of "combating tobacco is not of concern to the state alone, but to the whole community , citizen and the country's economy" saying a campaign would be intensified to warn against the hazards of smoking.
He said his ministry has also launched a campaign at the level of the living quarters known as the women for health, with the aim of spreading health awareness and advocacy against smocking, snuffing, and other harmful practices.
The campaign comes within the international celebration. The 31st of May encouraging people to refrain from smocking and t avoid disease related to this practices that lead to the death of at least 6 million people yearly . Topics related to the subject or the author
