09:20 PM May, 01 2016 Sudanese Online Sudan Democracy First Group- My Library Short URL 30 April2016 The Sudan Democracy First Group is pleased to announce the launch of its Sudan Transparency Initiative (STI) web portal. This portal is dedicated to raising awareness among Sudanese and non-Sudanese of the scope and scale of corruption in Sudan, in turn to promote demand for accountability and justice. This portal publishes stories on petty corruption that ordinary Sudanese face on a daily basis (in written as well as audio format), research reports on grand corruption in key sectors and other relevant documentation produced by the STI project. The portal also publishes a collection of Sudanese and international open source materials on corruption and the lack of transparency in Sudan including Sudanese online newspaper and magazine articles, reports and links to other relevant organizations’ websites. SDFG’s objective for this launch is to provide a central, accessible and credible online source of information about corruption and lack of transparency in Sudan, for all interested audiences including academics, students, activists, politicians and civil society organizations. SDFG hopes that the launch of this portal will support anti-corruption movements and aid the aspiration of the Sudanese people for change, justice, freedom, democracy and equality, as well as lay the foundation for future robust and credible anti-corruption mechanisms.
