I think we brought this upon ourselves. Being lazy can be true. We just don't have any thing to offer other than talking and blablabla. When you come to real things that give people dignity in this world like hard work, work ethics and so on I don't see that especially in team work. It's always like that. Whenever you try to get any project done that requires team work and hard work ethics people just start to fade away, and you find yourself alone. This is especially in the technical field, which is my field.
How can we gain any respect in such situations? Just by talking??! We won't get any where with that. You get respect by what you have to offer to this world. Any one can talk and talk and talk. Respected people are those who work honestly and hardly to reach a well defined goal. Unfortunately we don't have any of those things not the work, not the goal.
Just show me some recent thing that we can feel proud of other than some indvidual stuff. I don't cosider indivual achievments as things to be proud of, the individual himself can be proud of his own deeds. We don't have team work ethics and that's one problem. We don't have respect for time and that's another one. We don't hold promises and that's another, and so on, I can state alot more than these few which are far enough to loose respect for decades to come
When I compare Sudanese to other nations even the Arabs it's very obvious the difference in activity and energy. They're very active and we're very slow in every field. That's why people mock us. If we were faster and more energtic and competitive no body is gonna laugh at us ever. Do u see any body laughs or make jokes of horses? Rarely. Jokes are only about slow animals like tortoises for example and sorry for the comparison.
