Please know that what I have said about you in this thread was not for the purpose of making you look bad, or scoring any points against you. It was for the sole purpose of explaing to the public that we are people, just like them. We make terrible mistakes toward each other, just like they do. But we have the capaciyt to forgive.
You know that I have forgiven you, long ago. But the public needs to know that the good picture that you and some others are trying to paint of our community may not necessaritly reflect the truth. It is true that we have made huge strides in trying to live the traits of good moral charachter. But, in my judgement, "absolute individual freedom," as articulated by Al-Ustaz Mahmoud, is the core of any morality.
I strongly think that we have failed the test of 'absolute individual freedom' on the day we recanted Alfikra to escape persection and tortue by the May regime. By staunchly supporting the staus quo in our community, where newer forms sectarinanim and fanaticism are 'slowly' but surely emerging in our community, I think you are at fault. Knowingly, or unknowingly, you are aiding and abetting an emergence of a very sneaky form of authoritarinism that will wreak havoc on the very essence of Alustaz's main project.This main project is our "Repblican Community." This community he so sincerely guided through the priciples that protect the very essence of "absolute individual freedom." As you well know, Al-Ustaz saw his main project as "US," not his books or his ideas. However, it may be more accurate to say that Al-Ustaz saw us as his books and his ideas. He gave the word 'idea' itself a new meaning by living it in flesh as never before. And as any good father would think, he wanted us to be ideas in flesh, and flesh as emodiment of ideas!!.
That is why I am so passionate about fighting any traces of sectriansim and fanatisim in "our community," HIS main project!!!!!!!

Using the fact that our relationship came, terribly, close to the brink of collapse, was for illustrative purposes, not for scoring points or renew long healed or forgetten wounds. I haven't despaired, yet, as you did, regarding fixing our abliliity to resume dialuge, strange as that may sound!! I believe that we can still fix some aspcts of our broken hearts. This hope alone gives me the energy to pursue you wherever you go. You thought you permanently escaped form me in Assaloon, by avoiding me, which hurt me so much. But I knew that our lives are, inextricably, linked together. And I knew that SudaneseOnline will be another forum for us to bring our differences to the sunlight of public opinoin.
It wasn't easy on me to do what I did. But I had to do it, to fix our broken relationship.
You may disagree with me, but I 'strongly' think that by bringing the discussion to the Sudanese people, we are doing more of the "melting" in the Sudanese society, which we have talked about before. By dong this, we honoring this sociey of giants. We are entrusting it, to make an inforemed public opinion stance on the issues that concern us the smot, as our Godfather so passiontely entrusted it with His Life!!! Thus, we are helping ourselves, by helping others understand us, and may be mediate between us as Kamal Asangaq and others are skillfully trying to do. I fully trust the ability of the Sudanese people to be forces of good in any situation they find themsleves in. I have decided to put us in this situtaion, and now I am enjoying the fruits of the beginnings of the mending of our relationship. This mending, in my judements, if it succeeds will be fully credited to this post and the good people who participated in it, including its initiator Alsangaq, and its contriutors, including Kamal Abbas. Here, I belive, is a marvelous example at work of the principle of "melting" within our larger, and more elegant, Sudanese framework
Thus, again, I would say I have used our relationship as a point of illustration. If you understood it any other way, I am sorry to say that you, once again, have misjudged me, and you are mistaken!!
