The purpose of the mission is to save as many human lives as possible among the displaced populations in Kalma and Dereij camp in the area covered by MdM health centres, South Darfur - Sudan and more especificly to reduce the mortality and morbidity rates of the displaced populations in Kalma camp and Dereij camp by introducing primary health care and emergency care and implementing mobile clinic for the most vulnerable people during 9 months.
The midwife will be responsible to the implementation and supervision of the activities in antenatal care department, delivery room, IPD (gynaecology and obstetrics tent), community health program, Dereij mobile clinic and should insure or complete the training of the local midwives and set up a system of evaluation.
She supervises the antenatal consultations in Kalma camp clinic and training of the Sudanese midwives and improves the organization of the post natal consultations in Kalma camp clinic and also through the health community program.
The midwife organizes the family planning consultations and training of the local midwives in this sector as well as the training of the community health workers according to the different topics of health education.
She improves of the functioning of the delivery room, trains the midwives in a practical way for deliveries and suture of the episiotomies and supervises both the functioning of the pharmacy and analysis of the consumption in obstetrics and gynaecology departments and the training of the midwives in charge of the IPD department (gynaecology and obstetrics tent). She will also supervise the hygiene in the different department.
The midwife organizes the medical transfers to Nyala Teaching Hospital and develops the management tools used in the different departments, collects the the different medical data and computerization, organizes and participates to mobile clinic (Dereij) and trains the midwife of Dereij in antenatal, postnatal and family planning consultations and sets up health education sessions for the pregnant women in Dereij camp.
She realizes in collaboration with the expatriate administrator of the monthly planning of the midwives and translators and participate at the medical and general meetings.

Profile:
