Thanks Amjad Ibrahim for telling Al-Zooma what any honest man should know. Your answer is very poingnat and well wirtten, unlike the unfair doubts and rumblings that Al-Zooma wrote. I hope he will sit down and read some books of the Repubicans with an open mind.
And he should know that the Repubicans are here and now! In case he didn't notice, I am a Repubican. And you the non-Repubican have answered him. Out thought and ideas are out there. And on Janurary 18, 1985, the day Al-Ustaz stood smiling to the gallows and to the thousands of fanatics cheering HIS very LIVING death, HIS ideas to a life of their own. That was a new day of birth of MAN on mother Earth. In case you didn't notice ya Al-Zooma, we, the Repubicans, have been given LIFE on that day, and all of you will be given that life as well, albiet in due time. And in case you did't notice, we are COMING with a true "Cultural Revolution" which will surprise even our Sudanese peaple, and their world after. Be on the look out, and you will see if you are lucky.
Yes,We have not been as active publically with our public name "The Repubican Brothers" as we have been with our names as individuals for reasons that Dr. Yasir has thoroughly explained in the posting above. Please read his posting again, if you have read it before. I have my doutbt that you have.If you read it as honestly as you can be you will realise how at falt you have been in your judgement brother Al-Zooma.
As for Al-Sawi, I say: I commend your deep commitment to the values of democratic debate. Yet, I see that you were a bit unfair when dealing with the way we handled Dr. Khalid Al-Mubarak. Please check all the writings we have published and come back to me. If you find one single word of personal offese, I personally will be ready to aplogize for it. I assure you though that you will find NONE, beacuse I know that I love and respect Dr. Khalid as a person. And I know that all my Reublican brothers and Sisiters, who know him, do. But as a public persona I think, we have the right, like everybody else, to critique his published work, and to criticise his public stances. To me, he represents the utter moral failure of the Sudanese intellectual in the face of sectariansim, fanaticism, and dictatorships. It was for this, that many of my Repubicans brothers, and I, saw it fit to respond to his irresponsible accounts on the issues he raised.
Again, rest assured that we love and respect Dr. Khalid, and I personally, have more reasons to do so. I was brought up in Kosti as he was. And his brother, Yaqoub Al-Mubarak is one o my dear teachers and mentors in life. I love and respect Usta Yaqoub immenslely, for he touaht me the basics of writhing and politeness in doing so. That is why I found immense difficulty in wirting about Dr. Khalid. Yet, I didn't want to compromise truth for my personal likes and dislikes. And again, please read all that we have written, and make me aplogize, if you can. If you do, i will be the happiest person to apologize. Believe me, this is coming from the bottom of my heart!
