Dear JAD, Sallam
Now you are talking about specific knowledge (Arabic languages and knowledge about Islam) I havee no problems with this and may agree although you are ingnoring all the knowledge accumulating since the state of ELMADINA, which I think is much more in quantity but, of course, not as sacred and important as the prophet SAW was the source of it when he was a life.So, if I where you I would say they-almadina state- had the most important and fundamental knowledge i.e quality wise in terms of being the building blocks of Isalm and , may be the arabic language too.This instead of saying:

As you did above.In short, if mean you mainly religious things, I agree.However, I think what came afterwards is much more if you want to add other knowledge related to islam e.g art, politcs, etc.That said, I think Turabi views ,if accurately quoted, is propably right!!Don't you think

I have underlined the first sentence of your quote-above:the concepts , as you put it here are:Wahi is the main source of Knowledge
it is for a small minority of religious knoledge, yes of course.Also, arabic language.However, it is not the source of any other knowlege. the proof is in your next sentence as you expalin why:

It encourges research, thinking, and opens avenues to knowlege. This make the quran knowlege-friendly and that is it!.It is not a source for all knowlege because most of the knowlege is actually coming from the non Moslim world and I can reassure you that they do not use the quoran at all!.We need to be very specifc about using our words to avoid confusion. Yes, quoran ask people to think but if e.g someone ask you to think, that does make him/her the source of the knowlege you get?Of course not
You have showed many AYAT asking us to reflect and think about life and all the phenomena around us. You may be right that these are instructions to learn and know but many uneducated people may encourge his/her childern to know and learn, which does make him/her a source of knowlege!! he or she encourge knowledge.Again, most of the advancement of most things we now know came from people who did not know them through the quoran let alone the way you may want the ayat to be explained. They continued from where the rest of the word ended, including the moslim scientists, but they developed it to current state.so, if anyone want to learn anything will have to take over from where the e.g the West ended ie working with them.if you refuse you will not join the body of knowlege let alone be good at it!!Knowlege is a continuim
I think overall what Turabi has done is to challneg the status qoe regarding ELigtihad.People like him make qualitative differences to Moslims life, compared to others who just follow others to keep the peace!!Of course it is not easy, and off course Turabi is not the most trustworthy of Elmugtahideen and he may have a hidden agenda
