IT was already being agreed on and signed by meles and esseyas longtime ago but both leaders didn't want to implement it for unknown reasons and resulted in war that costed the lives of hundreds of thausands of young and old people from both sides. At that time Abe Ahmed was in his early twenties and has no power at all . Regarding the situation of the opposition parties in Addis, they certainly will be affected seriously, I heard thier finance or any subsidies they used to get from Ethiopia will be stopped, how ever they might have the right to live as Eritrean residents in Ethiopia with out any visa provided they don't proceed thier anti government movement. Just same as they used to exist in Sudan recently when omer Bashier and esseyas were good friends and allies. This is my opinion only God knows what happens next because things are moving very dynamically. All in all I think Dr.abe ahmad did a great favour for the opposition if they really understand politics By declaring peace with Eritrea he blocked Esseyas afworky and his regime from making any excuses for the nation's distraction and the causes of endless national service in the country ,and the continuous State of emergency situation that he was blaming it on the border problem.
