Here the author is sideling some of their daily conversations. It goes “No one cleverer than Baggara people when considering education. For Baggara people, schools are places for idiots and dumb people, who sit daylong as captive audience for someone to preach them about what to learn and how to learn it and even what to do with their own life thereafter. Schools are for stupid people who cannot figure things out for themselves. Baggara people are genius; they know everything either by heart, from their grandparents, or by experience when they stuck on something for long time and eventually figuring out getting around it or fixing it. Baggara are not losing precious time in silly things like education, vaccinations, training, medications, visiting doctors for check-up or traveling as tourist for pleasure. Baggara never do such things. These things are losing your money and time. Baggara have better things to do in the interest of their precious time. It is extremely hard if not impossible to convince a Baggara man to take his child to school and to wait for 18-year until his child graduate and starts bringing in money – that is too long await. Once a Baggara child reaches school age, his father will take him to rear cattle to some wealthy Baggara. Each year, the little child brings in one-year old female calf. At the end of the fourth-year, the first female cow starts to give birth and thereafter the little Baggara boy starts to see the rewards for his hard work begins to roll on. In contrast, by the end of the first school year no child will be given a one-year old female calf – nothing given to him but a certificate that has no monetary value. At age 24-year old, the young Baggara man will be as wealthy as or wealthier than his father. Again, in contrast to a university graduate, by the time he graduates, he is already broke – the university gives him a sheet of paper called a degree and lets him loose to look for work; he might not even feed himself. Seeing all these, Baggara, no doubt, are the most genius in the face of earth! Baggara ingenuity shines better when they see stupid people spend millions buying large houses or mansions in city and lit them up by electricity and have running tap water. Baggara are not dumb to lose their wealth in such large mansions; what about small, chick-coop-like domes They are enough to host the family and they do not require any expenses to build them. Tree branches, saplings and barks are abundant in Baggara zones and free to use. Cutting expenses is one way of Baggara saving wealth. Baggara are the best in keeping wealth intact in cows’ h.eads in order to show them to others as means of life prestige. This is how to show others you are wealthy – lot of cows is a proof. Baggara do not sell cows at all and for whatever reason maybe; they rear them and take care of them to multiple in number. More and more cows mean richer and richer. This is the best way to build wealth until you die and leave the cows’ herds intact for someone else to take care of them. The other person rears the cows’ herds for life and keep them intact until he will die and leave them to someone else. This is a multiplicity of wealth growth. Baggara ingenuity shine even further in the mode of transportations they use. Baggara use horses, camels, oxen, donkeys or sometimes carry burdens on their own back and shoulders. The irony here, Baggara use live animals for transportations because animals do not require fuel; animals in Baggara zones graze on free, communal rangelands; they do not require someone to buy rations and vaccines. They rear on grasses and browse on trees. If they catch diseases and some of them die still it is okay since no one stays alive forever. Baggara grazing routes are ideal for animals. Cars cannot get around in mud. And where are the fuel stations. Fuel stations are non-existent in Baggara lands. Baggara never spend their wealth in owning fixed assets like fuel stations; if lightning struck them, the owner’s money is gone for no good reason. They are no insurance company to save the owner in case of disasters. Baggara are pragmatic; they know if the donkey struck by lightning and died, the owner’s jenny will give birth to another little a.ss. There is no way to give birth to a car! the car will vanish forever. Animals spread in grazing and sleeping in large space, and if lightning stuck them only a few can die and the majority survive. Baggara are super and genius people, and for that they deserve a pat on the back or probably a big lash on their back by a large hippopotamus-skin whip !
