Dear Dr. Reeves,
First of all we would like to thank you for your continuous efforts to promote and bring awareness to the just case of the people of Sudan in Darfur, and also for documenting in detail the crimes committed against the innocents there. We would also like to extend out gratitude to you and your team for the particular efforts in the period 2005-2009, which contributed in one way or another towards indicting the sitting president Omer Al-Bashir.
As you know, with time, and shifting international community interests, multiple wars, and the separation of the country in 2011, the issue has suffered a major setback in terms of international attention, which has meant that Al-Bashir and his pro-government militias were left to their own devices to start a second genocide in the province and beyond.
Please find attached the latest from Sudan; our people on the ground in West Darfur have reported a number of dead and injured persons, against the backdrop of the pro-government aggression against the people of Sudan in Darfur. The Sudanese diaspora in the United Kingdom are organising a peaceful demonstration in London at1pm, Saturday the 23rd of January 2016, in front of the Sudanese Embassy. The crowd will then move to the space opposite to 10 Downing Street, where representatives from the Diaspora and friends of Darfur will hand a letter to the office of the Prime Minister with regards to the latest atrocities against our people.

El-Geneina Massacre – 51 between Dead and Injured so far, direct victims of Al-Bashir orders
Darfur Union of the United Kingdom:
The escalation of the Sudanese government violence against the civilians of West Darfur has resulted in a number of dead and injured persons. Over the last three days, the initial list of 12 victims has been expanded with more victims, which is indicative of the level of hostility and aggression inflicted by the government’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on the innocents of Darfur. Below are the lists of dead and injured thus far:
Dead civilians:
Salah Adam Haroun, Taha Hussien Adam Ismail, Habib Mohammed Yagoub, Abbaker Yahya, Ramadan AbdelKareem, Abdelaziz Mohammed Ahmed, Mohammed Ibrahim Ishag, AbdelRazig Ishag Jumaa, Abdelnasir Abdelkareem Abdel Allah, Mohammed Sharif Adam, Yahya Jumaa Yagoub, Mubarak Mohammed Yagoub, Suleiman Yousif Khamees Musa, and Mohammed Ibrahim Ishag.

Darfur Union in the United Kingdom ask the United Nation and the Security Council to open an international lead investigation with regards to the latest crimes and violations of human rights taking place in West Darfur by government troops. It is high time for the world to turn attention to Darfur, as it appears a second genocide is unfolding before our eyes. Many countries in the world are still providing support to Al-Bashir regime; the international community must act by applying pressure on those governments to stop supplying war equipment, which is used directly to kill the innocents across the Sudan.
