My name is Nuraddin Abdulmannan, a former Sudanese diplomat and a Nubian, human rights activist residing in Maryland, US since 1989. I'm looking for your help as we; the Nubians of Sudan are facing dangers of dams which will destroy their ancient civilization, wipe out their historical sites and Arabize them.

Nubia Project, a nonprofit organization registered in Washington DC. USA., is leading a campaign to bring these daunting issues to the attention of the international community. Nubians have no access to the media which is controlled by the Arab -Islamist regime of Sudan and the government of the Arab Republic of Egypt which is also marginalizing the Nubian minorities. The situation in the Nubian land is deteriorating rapidly while Sudan is facing an uncertain future after the south Sudan referendum on January 9, 2012.

Nubians need your valuable support to their campaigns to protect the international heritage in Nubia from destruction by dams and Arabization. Our organization, Nubia Project, which is supported by 17 Nubian organizations in Nubia and around the world, is leading their campaigns aiming at:

• Opposing dams in Nubia which will destroy Nubian artifacts and wipe out Nubian heritage and Arabize them.
• Stopping the dangerous Four Freedoms Agreement between Egypt and Sudan, signed in April 2004, allowing millions of Egyptian farmers to settle down in Nubia (Argeen and the Nubian Triangle), own the land and displace the indigenous Nubians to the desert.
• Demanding reparation from Egypt for using Nubian lands as a free storage for its waters since 1966 and call upon the US Congress to slash a portion of the annual USAID to Egypt and divert it as compensation for Nubia (The Nubian Americans do not want their hard earned tax money to go to Egypt which is destroying Nubia with a Nubian money).
• Calling upon the international community and the WHO to urgently intervene to avert a possible epidemic-like cancers among Nubians who are living under Asbestos roofed and piped houses in New Halfa (Eastern Sudan) for the last 44 years (since 1966) and demand compensation from the governments of Sudan and Egypt for those who died of Asbestos related cancers which are spreading among Nubians which might break as an epidemic any time.
• Asking the International media, Congress members, parliamentarians and representatives of international organizations and relevant UN agencies to send delegations, representatives and fact finding teams to Nubia to expose the hidden tragedies to the world. UN Human Rights Rapporteur Dr. Sima Samar was denied visiting Nubia twice before and the BBC reporter and Christian Science Monitor correspondents were deported from Nubia and their cameras were confiscated by the security authorities.

I believe that you can help us bring this issue to the surface by alerting the lawmakers and US Administration to the dangers facing Nubia from the Arabs and Islamists who already started scrambling into Sudan to invest trillions of Arab petrodollars in the Nile valley, protected by millions of Egyptians (Ex army and security personnel). Arabs and Islamists will dominate the Nile valley from Alexandria to the Great Lakes bringing back their dreams of an Arab Islamic empire along the fertile Nile valley or a new Andalucía in Africa, threatening the stability of Africa and the Middle East and the world peace as well and creating a safe haven and a spring board for a mighty international terrorism.

Please find attached the appeal issued by Nubia Project Organization claiming reparations from Egypt for using Nubian lands as a free storage land for its waters since 1966. We ask your honor to address this as a matter of concern to the Nubian Americans, who do not want their tax money to go to Egypt while it is destroying Nubia, as well as the Sudan government which raised its request during honor’s recent visit to Khartoum to relief of its foreign debts while it is destroying an international heritage in Nubia, Arabizing its people and working to bring millions of Egyptian farmers to displace the indigenous Nubians from their ancestral lands..
