Dear Bakri Abubaker, Special greetings, Thank you very much for granting Abdalla Yousif, Yasir Hamad and I, the Sudanese on line membership. Dear Sudanese on line member, I would like to let you know that the Federation of the Sudanese American Associations (FSAA) Board of Directors has decided to request membership on Sudanese on line. The main goal of these members is to officially advance FSAA vision, mission statement, goals, objectives, ideas through this great media outlet, and ultimately we want to unite Sudanese American organizations under one umbrella. The Federation is currently comprised of ten member organizations; these are Sudanese American organizations/associations/centers, or (Jaliats). This umbrella organization is working on various issues ranging from early adjustment issues, education and learning patterns of Sudanese immigrant communities, well being issues of second and third generation people of Sudanese origin, integration into the larger American communities, and other issues of concern to Sudanese communities living in the U.S. To achieve such goals, we are focusing on stating goals and objectives, drafting visions and tools to achieve such objectives through building the organizational capacity, and networking. The three of us will adhere to the principles of objective dialogue, respect of other members, and follow the Sudanese on line guidelines and regulations. We promised ourselves to be objective, however, if the discussions and, or writings went personal, then each one of us might exercise his own right to defend himself.
At personal level, I do spend couple of hours a day browsing the site, reading articles, and sometimes following multiple posts. The issues that I browse vary from the daily news, politics, and writings on sports, social matters, and broad knowledge-based related issues. I am also planning to participate on such issues. Yasir Hamed, is currently outside the United States of America, however, he may be reached @ [email protected], Abdalla Yousif, is living in Delmarva, Maryland, and may be reached @ [email protected], or (215) 990-9057 Mohamed Gadkarim, is living in Columbus, Ohio, and may be reached @ [email protected], or (614) 266-5858
Looking forward to fruitful discussions. Cheers Mohamed Gadkarim For FSAA Board of Directors
