Things you need to know
About your booking
It includes the cost of your seat, all taxes, a 10 kg hand baggage allowance and any optional extras purchased.
It’s bound by flydubai’s fare rules, terms and conditions and conditions of carriage.
You’ll receive your confirmation once you’ve paid for your booking.
Don’t forget, you can view and re-print your confirmation at flydubai.com.
About arriving at the airport
You’ll need to present this confirmation together with the documents required for your journey and acceptance at your final destination.
If you’re under 16, you’ll need to be accompanied by an adult. The under 16 and adult must be travelling together with the same booking reference.
If you don’t have baggage to check-in, you can proceed directly to the hand baggage desk.
About hand baggage
Each passenger can take a single piece of hand baggage weighing up to 10 kg on board without charge. It must not measure more than 56 cm x 45 cm x 25 cm.
If you buy duty free, it must fit into your hand baggage and still weigh less than 10 kg.
If your hand baggage is too big or too heavy, it’ll be checked into the aircraft hold at a cost of AED 150 for the first piece and AED 500 for each additional piece.
About checked baggage
Bags can be checked-in from 3 hours to 60 minutes before you depart. If your baggage isn’t checked-in more than 60 minutes before take-off, you’ll not be allowed to take it.
If you have not pre-purchased checked baggage, subject to availability, you’ll be charged AED 150 for the first bag you want to check-in and AED 500 for each additional bag.
Each piece of checked baggage can weigh up to 32 kg but not measure more than 90 cm x 75 cm x 43 cm.
Checked baggage can be pre-purchased at a discount up to 4 hours before you depart at flydubai.com or through the call centre.
About arriving on time
You must be at the airport 3 hours before the scheduled departure.
The flydubai hand baggage desk and the flydubai bag drop desk both close 60 minutes before departure.
Don’t forget, it can take up to 30 minutes to pass through immigration and security.
And you must be at the departure gate no later than 45 minutes before take-off.
If you’re late, flydubai cannot allow you to travel and no alternative travel or refund will be offered.
About changing your mind
You can amend your booking up to 24 hours before you depart.
If you have a ‘pay to change’ fare, you can change your booking for a fee of AED 100 per person, per flight, plus any difference in fare.
If you selected a ‘free to change’ fare, you’ll only be charged for any difference in fare.
You can cancel your booking up to 24 hours before you depart.
The cancellation fee is AED 100 per person, per flight. The balance will be paid to you as a flydubai voucher.
You can amend or cancel your booking less than 24 hours before you depart, but the cancellation or change fee is 100% of the money paid to flydubai.
About group fares
If you're booked as part of a group, you need to check to find out from the group organiser how your fare works. It may be different from the way our fares usually work.
About credit card payments
If you paid with your credit card, flydubai will ask to see this card.
If your booking was paid for with someone else’s credit card, flydubai will ask to see a photocopy of the front of the card and the cardholder’s passport.
If the card or photocopies cannot be produced at the airport, you will not be allowed to travel and no refund will be offered.
Please note that a credit card cannot be used to pay on behalf of someone else for travel to or from Sudan or Nepal.
