The Murder Case Of Mohammed Abdel Salam Babiker

Party Responsible For Murder: The NIF/GOS Regime.

(1) Ammar Bashari, 4th year faculty of Law
(2) Ramadan Musa Dirar, 4th year Faculty of Law (3) Ammar Mubarak
Whereabouts Of Murderer(s): Still at large !
Case Description:
On the morning of Tuesday, 4 August 1998, Mohammed Abdel Salam Babiker, a student at the faculty of law, University Of Khartoum died as a result of sever torture by the NIF security agents.
During the last week of July 98, the university students started a campaign against the increase of living expenses, and demanded its cancellation.
At 2:00 AM on Tuesday 4th of August 1998, the NIF security agents attacked the university campus and used violence against students and confiscated personal belongings and arrested students. Among them was student Mohammed Abdel Salam Babiker.
Mr. Babiker is a well known student leader and active member of the Democratic Front. The detained students were taken to unknown location and were subjected to torture. Later, all students were released except Mohammed Abdel Salam Babiker !
On Tuesday August 4th, following the instructions of NIF member Abdel Gaffar Al-Sharif, who is in charge of students' security department and the Deputy Vice Chancellor: Abdel Malik Mohammed Abdel Rahman and the Dean of Students: Mr. Ibrahim Abdel Salam, followed the body of Mohammed Abdel Salam Babiker to his home town in Wad Medani.
Together with the Governor, accompanying them, they informed his family that Mohammed died due to regular students clashes in the university campus. His family and residents of the area forced the Deputy Vice Chancellor and the Dean of the Students to stay until medical examination was carried out to identify the cause of Mohammed's death. At the same time they filed a police case against both of them.
Initial examinations indicated a deep wound on Mohammed's head resulting from beating with a sharp tool which caused a brain hemorrhage that lead to his death. It is worth mentioning that Mohammed's body was packed without filing the form Number ( , under the Sudan security law !
On the day of murder, the National Democratic Alliance, U of K chapter, issued a memorandum condemning the use of force by the NIF security and demanded the immediate release of all arrested students.
Mohammed Abdel Salam Babiker was arrested, tortured and killed by the following NIF security agents:
(1) Ammar Bashari, 4th year faculty of Law.
(2) Ramadan Musa Dirar, 4th year faculty of Law. (3) Ammar Mubarak.
The above mentioned individuals and well known security elements of the NIF regime, who work for the Campus Security Department, tortured to death the student Mohammed Abdel Salam Babiker, and under direct supervision of NIF member Abdel Gaffar Al-Sharif !
The above security personnel are still at large ! The NIF regime is held fully responsible for the murder case of student Mohammed Abdel Salam Babiker !
