What seen today in the destruction and falsification of our great Nubian heritage is part of a process has long been started since the Sinar Kingdom. Arabization that associated with Islamization is the one to blame mostly. The Nubian identity and admiration of Nubian historical achievements have represented a threat to the preachers of both arabization and islamization in the black land. Most of those preachers have been new settlers or strangers to the land including the great Mahdi himself. The influence and interference of neigbouring Arab states have great impact on the implementation of the process. The recent regieme is completing what its preceders had done. For most fanatic Islamist scholars Arabism and Islam are two faces of the same coin....inorder to be a good muslim they want us to give our identity and change our skin and tongue.
The problem dear aunt is not limited to what they have been doing to our Nubian antiquities but also to our brains through carefully selected and designed curruclium in our schools that make us proud of people culturaly and physically diferent from us such as the Arab Classic poets. Most of us know a great deal of Arab Heros, poets, Thugs, kinship and all aspects of life in Arabia past and presnt....but we know a little or none about our Nubian heros, kings and queens and a civilization that well known to the world except us....
Unfortunetly some of our Nubian elites such as Dr. M. Sabir and alike contributed to this unforgivable cultural crime....and a genocide in other words...when you take people's identity away you like killing them all.
