Would you please provide more information about the martyr Mohamed Abdelrahman.I wonder if you mean the late Abdullah Abdelrahman, a former diplomat, and a member of the Arab Socialists Organization at the University of Khartoum who was injured in October demonstrations inside the University of Khartoum. My understanding that the name of the political organization which was founded in 1959, and was active during October 64 was the Arab Socialists Organization and not the Ba'a th Party. The Arab Socialists Organization during that time was an independent organization and most of its members weren't ba'athists. The ideology of the movement wasn't based on the Ba'ath ideology but based on " The Progressive General Arabic Line" which recognized the Nasserist experience, the Ba'ath, the experience of the Patriotic Union of the popular forces in Morocco, the Algerian National Liberation Front, and the National Liberation Front in South Yemen. The ba'athification of the Arab Socialists organization was completed only in 1973. I also take this opportunity to ask you about the role of the Sudanese Ba'ath Party in Ramadan 1990 military coup. Does the Sudanese B'ath Party claim that some of the officers were party members? What was the evaluation of the party to the reasons of the failure of Ramadan military coup ? Regards
