The History of Press in Sudan -2
D. Kasim Osman Nur noted in the Sudan Periodical guide issued in 1999 it has been possible to count about a hundred and thirty Edition is, of course, does not represent all releases issued during centaury in Sudan, which sheds from the Sudan since the beginning of Anglo- Egyptian governance.During the period 1919 until 1998 About 148 political newspaper issued and expressed their religious communities and political parties, organizations, groups and individuals .The Nile Newspaper 1935 - 1969 considered as the first daily newspaper published in Sudan granted license for a group of Sudanese and foreigners mainly Abdul Rahman Al-Mahdi and Kintumkha Los . The Congress of Graduates issued in 1938 The Congress Magazine also Sudan witness in 1943 the issuing of first political pictorial Magazine (The new Sudan) 1943-1970 and the editor-in- chief , Ahmed Yusuf Hashem .The Magazine transferred in April 1947 to a daily newspaper.
Al-ayam , Al-shafa ,A l-ray aam considered as most prominent newspapers, which published the mid-forties and fifties and was able to resist all the conditions by the prosecution and economic pressure and nationalization It is notable that most of the political newspapers stopped publication for political and economic reasons.
During the period 1913-1996 approximately 44 newspaper and cultural magazine issued the famous one "The Renaissance" and "Al-fajer". The institutions of state had issued a series of cultural magazines such as "waza" magazine which issued by the Center for the Study of folklore and cultural documentation in 1983 to deal with the Sudan's heritage. Ministry of Culture and Information, issued "Culture of Sudan" magazine during the period 1976-1980, as well as the State Peace Foundation issued the Cinema and Society" Magazine, of which ten copies were issued only
