 Dr. Fateh Alrahman Abdullah AlSheikh..Mourning The Loss of Another Great Son of Sudan

Dr. Fateh Al Rahman was a graduate of University of Khartoum Faculty of Law, from which he earned a Bachelor's degree as well as a Masters degree
He also earned a PHD In International Law from the University of Cambridge at the UK
He subsequently became the head of the Dept. of International Law at University of Khartoum and held key positions at the Ministries of Justice and Finance in Sudan
In addition, for three successive years, he was appointed as a member to the commitee of International law at the Arab League of Nations
He had numerous pulications and wrote several books in his field and most recently his personal recollections in a book entitled "Bein Rahlatein"..... He passed away in Kuwait ,with no warning, whilst attending to his duties as a senior law consultant for an international arab investment corporation
On a personal note Uncle Fateh Al rahman was like a surrogate father, especially after the sudden loss of my father also in Kuwait under similiar circumstances....He was a kind gentle soul who lived to work and sought enjoyment in the simple pleasures of life.....he was not blinded by the luxories he had at his disposal, he was not tainted by the current political climate and the opportunities he may have passed up to gain both politically and financially...instead he chose to be a scholar....continuing to serve his country away from his country.... after work.. and his family his main source of pleasure were his books... he loved to read and lived to write
He was from a generation of Sudanese who died like "martys" not in a manmade war...but rather as dedicated enthusatic individual who lived to serve and who put the best face of Sudan forward in doing so
My sincere condolences to his wife and soul mate and best friend ,Khalti Widad, and to his offspring, Mohammed, Usama And Reem.........I am confident you will continue the legacy of your father.....Hard times....Desolate times.....Difficult Times.....and even Betrayal... may lay ahead but this is the test and trust that you will emerge from it stronger and harder and more seasoned to deal with the daily challeges that life throws at us
