    Dear Adil Abdalaati,
    One of the most important pre-conditions of performing a scientific investigation, specially in that “delicate “field called “humanities” is possessing of “ quietness of the soul“+ a necessary degree of “ideological neutrality “enabling the investigator (no matter who) to eliminate all kinds of value pre-judges and sentiments. It is a difficult ‘task”, but not impossible to be achieved, if the” target” of the investigator is to produce a pure“ science” not “political propaganda”!!!! To be involved in the political struggle does not mean not to pay enough attention to the strict rules of scientific methodology.
    ”Satanisation” of “disliked”/“glorification” of “beloved” political phenomenon’s has nothing to do with science, for instance: when I wrote that message: Sudanese communist part is a holly tree, I was guided by some ideological reference, but when I wrote: Some sociological mystifications about the changes in Sudanese communist party, I was trying to create a scientific image about that party guided by strict sociological rules.

    The classical work of Anna Arend: (Totalitarianism) is a perfect example of what could be called “scientific inquiry”
    “Fascist” or “ Nazi” as terms are not equivalent to whom you call “awbaash”. They are not identitic. “Fascist” is a new social phenomenon, while “awbaash” is a pre-modern intensively value-loaded classification of political or social behavior of mass or social group.

    Fascists called themselves fascists, while “awbaash “ is a classification given by outsiders, by observers of that specific “behavior”. It is an ethical (moral) judge about that behavior
    In my opinion, one of the most fatal shortcomings of “sudanese” political mind (mentality) is not merely its blind (shafaga), but also its “bad habit” of “importing “ ready-made ideological “clichés”. It is a “consumer” not a “producer” of new knowledge. It applies directly those “clichés” for the current aims of political struggle. All of us are still victims-in different degrees- of this mentality.

    Observation of the presence of some common morphological” features” or characteristics between two social phenomenon’s does not mean - in the scientific plan- that they are contently identitic.

    Wearing of specific clothes or holding specific flags, does not make two social or political groups look similar, yes they are “signs”, they are also important distinguishing sociological features, but they don’t posse any analytical power!!
    Marxism, Fascism, Nazism as ideologies are “products “ of ” modern time”, all of them share the following common characteristic: they are “resistance ideologies” to what we use to call “capitalistic way of production and life”, but this not enough to make them similar. Marxism is specific kind of futurology; the two other ideologies are reactionistic. Marxism as a “provacy”is connected with category “social class” which is a modern social phenomenon per excellence, while Nazism is connected with category ” race” which is a traditional social phenomenon.
    Marxism is against the “class society” seeking, looking for a “ non class society” witch lies in the “future”, in the “unknown”, while Nazism is looking backwards or trying to preserve slowly dying type of “social relationships”.
    Another important distinguishing features: Marxism is a product of advanced capitalistic society (England), where the new “ non personal social ties” between people has advanced very fast. Nazism is an ideological “defense-system” used in a society moving difficultly through the “transitional stage” between traditionalism and modernity.

    Applied Marxism in its soviet model and Nazi ideology in Germany before the SecondWorldWar produced a new social phenomenon Totalitarian State), but they created this type of state following different ways.
    Applied soviet Marxism could not be approached, analyzed and interpretated
    only by referring to the theoretical model of Marx and Engels, specific sociological features of the Sarian Russian kingdom must be taken into a account, the dominated type of social relationships could explains many of “mysteries “of what has been called by the Russian philosopher Perdiayev “Russian Communism”
    The same could be said about the other “experiences” in social engineering, which has taken place in Eastern Europe and outside the old continent too.
