The Beautiful Children of Sudan Have Already Arrived...!

Al-Salamu Alaikum!
I want to say Congratulations to the Philadelphia Soccer team, and tough luck and good effort to the visiting team, Red Sea, from Virginia. Good Game!
Good Afternoon! I would like to give a special greeting to the youth of our community, the children and teenagers of the Sudanese Society of Greater Philadelphia. Today I represent them in speaking about the war and peace treaty in Sudan. I represent them as a young person growing up outside of her home country. I represent them as a young person that relies almost fully on her parents and the educated adults around her to provide insight about the war in Sudan.
Despite my slight ignorance about the details of this war, I fully understand that we need peace. Peace is the most important factor among members of a community. Tolerance and understanding and respect all constitute peace. No violence, no hatred, no murders. Although the people of Sudan have suffered a devastating blow in the death of John Garang, I believe that peace in Sudan is possible. It is possible that people from Al-Hijair, that people from Juba, people from Darfur, Kosti or Port Sudan can all be united as Sudanese citizens, despite differences in complexion, religion and political views.
I think we all understand these points and agree with them, but it is most important to share them. And again, as a younger member of this family, I'm learning. But I am also teaching. I'm teaching my siblings, I'm teaching my friends. I'm raising awareness within everyone around me in the hope that the dream of a new, peaceful Sudan will become a reality.
