Release the Fur students of Kidinyeer village Stop the campaign of terror against the Darfurians Stop the brutal attacks on civilian camps in Darfur
The Sudanese authorities in Darfur harassed interrogated and detained a group of Fur students on their way from Kidinyeer village to Nyala. The students were in the village of Mirshing when they were detained. The troops which harassed and privately searched the family pictures they have hoping to relate them to the rebels. The Sudanese government arrested the following students: Eltaeyb Ibrahim Hussein Osman (student of Algazira University) Abas Suliman Hasaballa (student) The crackdown on the Fur and the citizens of Kidinyeer has been on going. On November 2, 2006 the security forces detained Mr. Abdalla Noah, a business man in his midfifties in the City of Nyala. He is also a citizen of Kidinyeer.
The crackdown on indigenous Darfurians has been continuing since the start of the civil war in Darfur. They are detained without charge on the assumption that they cooperate with the rebels.
