نشأت كينيا كدولة معروفة وقد صيغت ووضعت أسسها الوحدوية على يد الاستعمار .
أما في شأن الجنوب فقد بذلت بريطانيا وعلى مدى 50 عاماً جهداً كبيراً أمنياً وعسكرياً وثقافياً لإنشاء دولة مستقلة في الجنوب ولكنها باءت بالفشل لانعدام مؤهلات قيام دولة مستقلة هناك لأسباب قدرتها بريطانيا العظمى وليس مراعاة للقانون الدولي الذي لم يكن موجوداً أصلاً حينها.
وقد تبين الراحل د. جون قرنق هذه الحقيقة .. وهو يستعرض أمام عينيه شريط المآسي التي جرت وتجري في دول البحيرات العظمي والمناظر الكريهة لمخلفات التناحر القبلي هناك، لذلك استقر عنده خيار الوحدة .. واستقرت عند خصومه ضرورة التخلص منه.
وأراك قد استشهد بكينيا ويوغندا ولم تذكر الكونغو وبورندي ورواندا وهي أيضاً دول قبلية.. وهل نعمت يوغندا بالاستقرار وهل هناك منافس لموسيفني طيلة حكمة القبلي؟
قد لا تجد ضرر أخي دينق من تواجد إسرائيل في الجنوب .. ولكن هناك رؤى مغايرة لذلك .. ورؤيتي واحدة منها.

Your logic really puzzles me. You seem to be saying that if peoples had not been colonized by the Euriopeans, they have no right to exist or claim themselves as a state. The British were in the Sudan as a whole for fifty years, including Southern Sudan. Then the North pick up the colonization of the South for where the British left and for another fifty years. If we accept you logic that a person has to be colonized in order to be able to claim statehood, what colonization more than this do southerners need to become a state? Or do you think colonization has a color? The other point you make about the British having tried to make the South a country but were convinced that South could form a state, is absolute nonesense. It is not supported by history of the Sudan, nor by the colonial policy. You seem to be ignorant about the history of colonization in the Sudan and fed yourself from oral stories and trash written by the Jallaba in the news media.
You claimed that John Garang called for the unity of Sudan because he was convinced that he could found a state in Southern Sudan. This is another trash from you empty mind. I strongly believe you have never read any of the two books written by Garang during his life, nor the abundant literature produced by the SPLM over the last twenty years. Garang's belief in the unity of Sudan does not come from the fact he found the south not to be capable of forming a state, but from his belief in the larger unity of Africa. He was convinced that Sudan has all the characteristics of Africa, ethnic, religious and cultural diversities, that are the basic fundamentals of Africa. So, Garnag concluded if he could unite the Sudan--the microcosm of Africa-- then African unity would be possible. Whether he was right or wrong is another story altogether but the fact that South could not form a state is not among the reasons that made him to call for the unity of the Sudan.
I am telling you this because I am sure you are ignorant of all this. You also reminded me why I did not mention the D. R. Congo or Rwanda. The reason is simple. I was talking about the ethnic similarities between our immediate neighbors, Kenya and Uganda. Now let us go to the larger world.
You seem to advance homgeneity as the yard-stick for the existence of a state. Let us take Somalia in africa as an example. Somalian society is the most homogenious society on the African continent. Did that homogeneity saved it from disunity? In the Arab world and in Iraq in particular, the Shi'ites cannot see eye to eye with the Sunnis. Both Shi'ites and the Sunnis are Arabs ethnically, why don't they agree? They need America to maintain their unity. Although I am sure you will not be able to digest all I have said, some better minds in this Board will make use of this.
