Quote: أعمل بجامعة ، فليس هنلك جامعة معترف بها وجامعة غير معترف هناك نوعان من accreditation فكل الجامعات معترف بها وهذا عنوان الجامعة التي أعمل بها توكل على الله good luck [email protected] موقع اجامعة: www.keller.edu[/QUOTE] الأخ صديق الغالي, كلامك غريب و لكن لأن الأمر هام و كثير من الأباء يقعون في فك هذه الجامعات الأفاكة خاصة الأباء السودانيين المغتربيين في الخليج العربي! أنا أستغرب أنك تقول تعمل في الجامعة و لا تعرف فيم إذا كان هنالك جامعة معترف بها أو غير! فإذا أنت كنت تعمل في جامعة فقد درسنا في جامعات أمريكا و عملت في إحداها كبرفسور لعدة سنوات و الأن أعمل مشرف أكاديمي في مؤسسة تهتم كثيرا بإعتراف الجامعة أو عدمها! ليس ذلك فحسب, بل من أي وكالة أو منظمة إقليمية لنحدد درجة إعتراف لتلك الجامعة. هنالك إعتراف بالجامعة و لكن ليس بكل الدرجات و هنالك إعتراف بأن الجامعة فعلا موجودة و لكن لا يعني ذلك بأنها معترف بجودتها الأكاديمية ! فمثلا الجامعة التي تعمل بها أنت ,DeVry , عليها بعض التحفظات من بعض المنظمات المختصة خاصة في دراساتها العليا. أرجع إلى القطعة أدناه و قل لنا ماذا ترى؟ By saying that the Keller Graduate School of Management is included in the accreditation, they are trying to make you believe that it is accredited as a business school. That is not the case. While colleges and universities are accredited as a whole by the six regional agencies, professional schools and individual disciplines are separately accredited by organizations within their own fields, and when someone speaks of going to an accredited business school, or an accredited engineering program, education program, or nursing program, they do NOT mean that the college as a whole was accredited by a regional accreditor. There are three accreditors of business schools in the U.S. The major one, by which pretty much all of the more prestigious schools here are accredited, is AACSB. There are two others - ACBSP and IACBE - which have lesser reputations. The Keller Graduate School of Management is not accredited by any of these. What that means is that it is often not recognized as a legitimate degree by some employers, and by many, if not most, other colleges and universities. By the way, there is a reason why schools have both regional and disciplinary accreditation. Regional accreditation does NOT attest to the quality of the education. It looks at whether the school is actually doing what it claims to do and whether it allocates its resources in such a way as to do that. For example, if it claims to be a research institution, they will look at whether the school spends much of its resources on things like labs, research assistants, and other things needed to do research. What they don't do, however, is to look at whether the research is done well.
