Currently his courses focus on the history of
humanitarianism, genocidal regimes, and World
War II in Europe. A Presbyterian elder, Army
veteran, and son of an attorney who prosecuted
German businessmen after World War II, he has
pursued a second career as an antigenocide
activist dealing principally with Bosnia, Darfur
KATIE-JAY SCOTT is the Director of
Community Programming for i-ACT. Much
of her work entails coordinating partnerships
with other grassroots organizations and
implementing the campaigns developed by
the team and seeing through the details
