Dear Uztaza Mayada,
This is the second time I feel the urge to write you a line or two. Everyone is entitled to voice her/his opinion as they see fit, but although I don’t know you – I have a strong sentiment that you enjoy taunting and aggravating people who powerfully believe about certain issues. For a lady who prides herself as a learnt and intelligent, I am surprised that you conceitedly and with smugness, write and quote without assessment, review or carefully and objectively analyzing the end goal of your words. Your language leaves a lot to be desired. Insults are not synonym to strength.
You would probably do Sudan proud, if you use your energy to read and seek knowledge about specific subjects before you follow a whim and put your opinion in words. Ask yourself what would you like to be in 5 years time? What would you like to represent?
The good example of the above is that you read all the literature of rape in general, rape as a weapon in civil war and conflicts, rape as a political arm against opponents. Read about the consequences of living as a raped victim, especially in culture like the Sudanese culture. There is nothing but reports, books, and studies about this. Then you are free to make at least a learnt opinion that others can read and think about. Do something useful rather than entering into futile debates about clear subjects.
Uztaza Mayada, RAPE is a serious issue – and I do not think, you being a woman, should take this lightly and make a joke in bad taste.
Stay well
