Cairo, February 19th , 2011 The Arabic Network for Human Rights Information said today, that Amr Moussa, Secretary General of the Arab League , who longs for the presidency of Egypt, should give a little attention to the practices of the Arab dictators to kill and terrorize their own peoples seeking freedom and democracy. Moussa should declare a clear condemnation of this brutal repression, particularly in Libya, Bahrain and Yemen. Moussa should break the silence on such atrocities , he was silent enough for 30 years on the suppression of the ousted dictator to the Egyptian people and during the revolution of the 25 of January, which finally overthrew Mubarak. Ever since the revolution overthrew the Egyptian dictator Hosni Mubarak, Moussa began to show up seeking power in Egypt, hardly reacting to the bloodshed and Arab martyrs by the hands of dictators, particularly those of Libya ,Yemen and Bahrain who spared no criminal practices against peaceful pro- democracy demonstrators in these countries.
The Arabic Network for Human Rights said, “Moussa did not resign on February 12th in protest of the crimes of Mubarak against the Egyptian people, he did not resign in objection of the Arab dictators practices against the Arab peoples, but rather to scheme for the throne of Egypt! We would have believed him and believed his talk about democracy if resigned before the fall of the dictator. Moussa never uttered a word on oppressed Arabs and waited till Mubarak fell and the succession plan which he supported in 2009 crashed . We never heard a single word from Moussa supporting democracy or denouncing repression. We are totally against him as a president and even as a mayor for the tiniest Egyptian village. The last thing Egypt needs now is compromisers”.
