I have read the articles of Effendi part one and two
and although as most readers of the time we were dissapointed by his book
althawra wa islah alsiyasi
which was later fairly described by dr tijani a gadir in his book niza3 alislamiyyeen fee alsuan
as a tabreer and an apology for the high jacking of the constitutional staus of the country
by the islamists or the group of islamists
this book is undoubtly a ownfall in his career i guess, i say i guess because i read the book
nine years ago a young student passioned by what we called nidal (i.e hate all that islamists poduce)
yet i had the chance to read an insightful article by effendi called the politics of rationality and the rationality of politics
and it roots the writers beliefs on the concept of shariaa and rule
which brings me to yr point ...i believe Effendi's usage of the word
mashroo3 islami is an act of scholarly discipline not murawagha
indeed islamists movements are various interpretations of accomodating shariaa and rule
they are masharee3...projects
,shariia islamiyya is a broad term pregnant with historical
and philosophical ijtihadat
Effendi was referring to the ingaz in particular...subtly not as Dr Altayyib zein al3abideen did
the reason why i said this because in effendi's article rationalism of politics...etc
he refers to the question of secular state and religous state
within the spectrum of shariaa..he puts his favouite anectode of albaqara in soorat albaqara
which in the end he refers to the fact that finding the most suitable state by using al3aql
is an islamic requirement
that islamists constant referring to the quran and sunna
to design the islamist state was un necessary ta3annut and exhaustion of mind
THIS IS A BREAK THROUGH in islamist thought
especially in the SUdANESE islamist mashroo3
i think this is why he didnt defend the undefendable in Alor's speach
i think he needed alor's speech to be as a political statement specific
actually his usage of islamic mashroo3 is more accurate when he points out that this
islamic project gained its breakthrough and popularity by its agressive history towards south during ingaz by propagating that the south is moving to erase the noths islamic and Arabian identity
but the bulls eye of the maqal to me was what he pointed out that the pivotal poblem is that both parties regared the CPA as temporal situation ..a cease fire if you like and not a peace agreement
a chance to continue the war by other means
SPLM creates liasons with ingaz's foremost enemy 7araka sha3biyya
and ingaz tries to create ta7alufat with politcal powers in the south
instead of using the CPA as a basis of a real achievable state
this active act of reviewing the islamic movement of sudan by its intellects i find
is enriching the current poor arena of thought in sudan...if we the non islamists pull the plug of our ears and hush our hutafiyya a bit...i think we can learn a lot from these brave endeavoursindeed e should encourage them
(by no means am i referring to hutafiyya to anyone...if anyone i am referring to my self, as i have recently pulle the plugs out
