من البورد الاخر انقل هذا(سودانت)مغ التقدير Memorandum The society for the development and Rehabilitation of Nubia(SDRN) is well aware and appreciative of the political condition that motivated and finally led to the signing of the Machakos agreement in the way and manner it was reached and concluded between the parties concerned – An agreement that was mainly a result of the urgent need to end that abhorring, inhuman, devastating and uncalled for war in the south which we all vehemently condemn and eagerly look forward for its end by all means. But, does Machakos addresses the other serious problems that beleaguer and threaten other parts of the Sudan in the north: unbalanced development, cultural hegemony and deliberate marginalization policies that have left these parts in poverty and deteriorating state. This, we believe is the direct result of the continuous. Insistence of the government on deliberately excluding other political power from participating, and having a say, in these solved unanimously by all Sudanese, would lead to the disintegration of the Sudan. In this respect, we whole –heartedly appreciate the genuine efforts that the SPLA has been exerting, and appraise the principles is it has staunchly, persistently and upheld in addressing those strategic equitable and just distribution of wealth and power in a united and culturally plural New Sudan with no marginalized area that if neglected or ignored under any pretext, cultural or political, which would eventually deprive any agreement reached from its national context and spirit and lead us back to square one. Indeed, the SPLA wit its all-embracing attitudes towards these problems, was first in acknowledging the deploring and marginalized sate of included it in the Shaqgum Accord, referring to it as” The Far Worth”. But these affords were sabotaged by suspicious moves that tried, and to our dismay succeeded, in excluding the “Far Worth” from the agenda of the SPLA marginalized area. Nubia is now a good-sorsaken country; indeed one of the most neglected and marginalized area of the Sudan: ravaged by diseases, especially cancer and TB, and deprived of all mean of decent life and of all services: educational health and transport. Dive conditions that have led to mass emigration from the area. Bearing this in mind, the SDRN as a organization concerned for the development and rehabilitation of Nubia and help it regain its former cultural, political and economic position, asks INCLUSION OF NUBIA in any final agreement addressing the problem of Marginalized Areas of the Sudan and equitable distribution of wealth and power.
