Dear Teacher Elmosley
Here is the problemQuote: Brothers Mutassim and The rest of presents
First , Happy Eid to all Secondly, I am very sorry for the aggressive manners but I am really very disappointed.
Having saying that Quote: وقد ذكر بأنه سمعها من الأخ عاصم الطيب وهي من تراث البرتا
is an attempt to deny my right, because Turath means Folk and folk means that it has no owner If you know the folkloric themes of the Berta and the whole Funj tribes you will not say that, as it is usually a loob theme or cycling motive!!!g. (Sudaney gadi dangnay douodi wasaloweya Murgus injaida.) This is the only part of the song that I dont own , however, the rest of the song is my development and variation as part of my methodology while I was conducting my project on the contemporary version of the Sudanses traditional song, which is all regestered on my name and I own it is copy right. . I have been working on this project since 1986 when I commenced my first year in the high institute of music & Drama. Travelling everywhere in Sudan, recording, analysing, and adopting the whole Idea as my baby.**a. Before I conclude , Ahmed Bass has asked me the permition to sing this song in the Sudanese festival that took place on July 2007 in New york. I gave him the permition and sent him a copy of my song , but I did not expect him to record it after what I said to him. To sum up, I believe that proffessional musicians should be themselves, initiate their own concepts and not copy others. This is what creativity is and that is why we are cycling politically, socially and culturally |
