This song was a regular feature in Mutwakil Kamal's program Sahrat Althulathaa and also Fareed Abdelwahab's Laqtat. They used a recording of James Last Hitparade program provided free by the German cultural exchange. the exchange also included Telematch and german Football.
Legendary song writer Albert Hammond wrote (with help from lyricist Mike Hazlewood) and sang it. The version we saw in the Sudan TV in the 70's was by Lobo although Albert Hammond appearred in the Hitparade with his other song I'm a Train.
