In the Name of God Dear brothers and sisters ................ One day, 2 years before, I asked this question to myself. I believe I did find the answer by combining reading deeply about Islam, Quran and some philosophy. .............. So I will present some of the findings that I reached lately. As a matter of fact many of people did ask that eternal question. Some reached the answer, some did not. Therefore, Religions exist to help us to know about things that our minds alone cannot apprehend. I will present the Islam point of view, as I understand it and I am fully satisfied of it. Moreover, it really made a difference to me: ............... In ISLAM, god has created the world for purpose. The purpose is that humans may fulfill their ethical vocations – every individual is “khaliah” or deputy of god. That is, one who acts in behalf of god in a world where we should realize the goodness, the truth and the beauty? To be “khalifa” is a big burden. First, the task is worldwide. Everything in creation is an object for improvement. Our task is to turn the earth into paradise. Upon the Muslim falls the task of creation. All the problems of human kind are the Muslim’s problems. To seek morally worthy solutions in simple words “the highest good of all peoples and all things”. As a Muslim, you have to be with a high expectation (you don’t guarantee rewards and paradise, but you should work hard) and to be active in a positive way because by this god will grant merit, happiness and paradise. Now , i think life is more appealing to you ,so as to fulfill your job.
