Dr. Amna Dirar, Secretary-General of the Beja Congress, said in the Jazeera T.V
today that the government air force bombarded Beja villages killing people and animal and destroying buildings. The area is not easily covered by non-government media due to the warring activities. Information is obtainable from native sources. The opposition-government agreements have not addressed themselves to the concerns of Eastern Sudan.
The Khartoum minister of foreign affairs, Dr. Mustafa Ismail, came out after his meetings in Washington D.C. with flat accusations via the Jazeera T.V. to Eritrea that "it is playing with fire, supporting people illegally penetrating the border, #####ng the country, and attacking his government forces."
Who are these illegal migrants, Mustaf Ismail, other than the Sudanese People of Eastern Sudan, the long-centuries' victims of Khartoum dictatorial central governments, the most highly hit with malnutrition, drought, and underdevelopment since Pharaoah Times?
Now that an Interim Government of peace and democracy is approaching the country, Mustafa Ismail and his government should tell the truth, even for a single time in 16 years of wasteful rule, about the new civil war in Eastern Sudan: a war inevitable with the same poor policies, terrorism, misleading official statements, and armed forces renewable offensive on the innocent citizens of Sudan, after 4 million-victims in South Sudan and almost 2-million victims in Darfur...
