Dear Dina Khalid
This is very important issue, I was planning to write a post about it, but at least I can share with you my point of views. With respect to the Sudanese politicians, no one is perfect. Simply they have no ideas about politics
I am not a politician and it’s not fare to criticize our politicians, but believe me most of the academic schools needs the student to be well focus on their academic courses rather than spending time to do something else. There are many schools tech the students who want to be a good politicians in future not only politics but also law and foreign issues, to let their candidates well prepared politically, psychologically, sociologically, and top of all the student will be graduated with full of dignity and confidence. In fact, they will perform well in a political field
Unfortunately, I left Sudan long time ago, and I didn’t get the chance to attend one of our schools, but believe me I graduated from a foreign school, and we used to attend from 7 am to 9 pm from lecture to lecture and from lab to lab, and no time even to eat your lunch. Unfortunately, most of our students in Sudan (not all of them) they take life for granted, their parents spend lots on money for them in order to learn and to graduate faster not just for fun, for a rezone which is they have to take care of themselves and to help the family financially. I think that is the bottom line of seeking education in Sudan I agree with you, student needs some kind of activities, and it should be related to their fields it could be a kind of celebration or field trip or something like that. Dina we are almost 38 million how many play soccer I think exaggeratedly 30 million play soccer until now no one succeed internationally. How many politician and non-politician acting as a politicians in Sudan, did you feel me did you get what I mean!
I suggest for all colleges and universities around Sudan to respect the students and treat them with dignity. In addition to have a kind of student affair office to act on behalf the student and to hire a professional psychologists to run this office at least if there is a problem between a student and the administration they can solve it wisely.
On the other hand, those big doctors as you said, are not doctors and they will never be a doctors, those are HUNTER or you can say good snipers. They know how to … I agree with you Dina, the freedom of speech but believe me we need a knowledgeable graduates who can conduct a miraculously an operation to our injured SUDAN.
The big doctors as you said who run business today, they where students in one of our famous university long time ago, they use to eat subsidized or maybe free hot meal three times a day, and they use to drink milk before they go to sleep in their dorms. Free money and bursaries issued to them from the government of Sudan. Look at them now, how they pay back to their country. Instead of running business, its better for them to payback to their peoples and to their government. We need a revolution, we need to have a long-term plan to improve our country, we need to accept each other, and we need to unite. Simply we need a new Sudan. I apologize for deflecting the post, but am quite disappointed from our politicians and our leaders, and from everyone who got a chance to take advantages from our beloved country as it used to be free education and free medical health and free boarding to our previous students without paying back or even planning to do the right things.
