Admission requirements:
1.Applying to the Academy is through the Admission Office at the Ministry of Higher Education
when announced for.
2.And can also be directly to the Academy and the applicant will be advised to fill
in the Ministry of Higher Education admission form.
3.The minimum entrance requirements for admission to the Academy is either a Sudanese
Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent with at least seven passes in seven
subjects obtained at one and the same examination.
4.In case of O-Level/IGCSE, a pass in each basic sciences subjects
((Biology, Chemistry - Physics – Mathematics-English Language) + any two other subjects
which qualify a candidate for admission. (Obtained at one and the same examination).
5.Candidates with A-Level certificates may be accepted at the Academy as from the second
semester if the minimum percentage for the basic certificate of a faculty is fulfilled.
The grades required are at least (3 Bs) in three subjects out of the basic subjects
(Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics). Candidates will be required to
complete semester (1) subjects.
6.Applications of candidates holding university degrees are not acceptable.
7.Transferring from other universities may be accepted depending on availability of places.
Candidates applying to be transferred to the Academy should fulfill the following
requirements:
a.That she/he was not dismissed from another university for academic reasons.
b.That her/his School Certificate should fulfill the minimum requirements for admission
to the Academy as well as the requirements of the faculty to be admitted to.
c.That the date of sitting for the School Certificate should be the same as that of
batch she/he is joining or maximum two years earlier.
d.That she/he should hold a certificate of promotion from class to class in the
university last registered with.
e.That she/he should submit with the application the original School Certificate,
syllabuses of subjects studied,results obtained (in grades), and the grading
system adopted.
f.Candidates may be required to sit for placement and/or substitute examinations subject
to the judgment of the Admission Committee.
g.Accepted students will be required to submit a letter of resignation from the
university last registered with.
