"كدت أجن" وروى الباحث في قضايا حقوق الإنسان كريشنا أوباديايا لمراسل الصحيفة كاهال ميلمو كيف تبعه وزميله رجال أمن قطريون بثياب مدنية إلى مطار الدوحة واقتادوهما إلى زنزانتين منفردتين لا نوافذ فيهما، ويبقى الضوء فيهما مشتعلا ليلا نهارا. "كدت أجن" قال الباحث، واضاف أنه لجأ إلى التأمل والفلسفة لمواجهة العزلة . وقال إنه استجوب بشكل مكثف عن سبب جمعه البيانات عن أوضاع العمال النيباليين. وكان أوبداديايا قد نقل البيانات التي سجلها حول أوضاع العمال إلى مواقع تخزين وتخلص من كل ما يخشى عليه بعد أن لاحظ وزميله أنهما تحت المراقبة الأمنية. وأضاف أنه تلقى أمرا بتسليم كلمة المرور لبريده الالكتروني الخاص بالعمل. ولم يشك االباحث الحقوقي من سوء المعاملة، سوى العزل في زنزانة انفرادية مضاءة والتعرض للتحقيق المكثف وعدم تمكنه من رؤية محام. وقال إن القسم القنصلي في السفارةى البريطانية لم يستطع الاتصال به قبل مضي أسبوع.
