Sudan’s First-vice president to succeed Omar al-Bashir

SudaneseOnline-Well-informed sources have revealed tha there is a trend within the Islamic Movement to choose the First-vice president of Sudan, Ali Osman Taha, to succeed the president Omar al-Bashir after end of the session.
The sources said on Monday that influential sector in the Islamic Movement adopts proposal to nominate Taha who has been working as as Vice President since stepping down of Hassan Al-Turabi.
But Taha announced that he would not run for a third session in the Islamic Leadership.
Speaking to “Women conference” few days ago, Taha said: "we are determined to renew in the movement and to lead new leadership the party and the State, adding it is time to sit on the Senate seat to advise and no fear of movement as long as the members of the Islamic Movement still present new ideas, stressing that his movement is determined to push new generations into the leadership structures of the movement.
the First-vice president called on to renew partnerships with Government-allied political forces and support them, indicating that the eighth Conference scheduled next month will review the reasons for the weakness of the Islamic movement and it will be an opportunity for introspection and earnings achieved during the past three years of rule.
